But that's not what happens. You just need to keep at it, all the time.

If I am trying to make excuses not to approach I tend to think to myself, 'what if this girl turns out to be my dream girl'. I then realise I have to approach, else end up feeling 'what if'.

Yeah dude, poor choice of words by me.

It was meant to mean that I fucked up the chance to approach so if/when I see her next time I will force myself to just approach; the breakthrough would be to just literally talk to her.

Cheers dude I'll use that I say to myself 'she is just another person, maybe our conversation will be the highlight of our day'..
I am extremely self critical and although it is a fantastic motivator, it is also a massive hindrance for future approaches because I tend to up the anti too much to stuff like 'she is just a girl, stop been a fucking pussy and approach her, talk to her, escalate. C'mon dude' ... both motivation and also hinderance, plus I'm setting myself goals before even being in the interaction.

You should try to travel to a bigger city though I never met anyone off here when I was still in boro for the same worries..

I'm going to be travelling to different cities soon, definitely something I want to do.
I've always believed in not being confined to your own city, or even your own country.

I went on 2 online sites with the goal of talking to different girls in a couple of different cities and countries, whilst flirting. Then, when I go to their city, I could meet up with her, or even better, she could host me.

I'd focus on going out and meeting people rather than using online sites especially when your involving travel, online sites are great for flirting and getting better at text game but from experience i can tell you they're mostly flakers and the ones that aint are often looking for a relationship or are phyco in some way..

You need to have someone to go out with tho, don't solo it. Going solo to clubs at least is well sad imo you really need to start finding people to go out with, lots of people want to pickup chicks from outside of the community most likely a lot of your mates do although they may be reserved about it.

Next time I'm up boro I might come down to Stockton for a drink or two and see what happens, I'm in a relationship at the moment but I still like to get out now and again and dont mind winging, it's good practice to make sure I don't get rusty anyway!

Text game is something I always found fun and I was nervous to open up to people before so text game was perfect in the sense that it was non-evasive. I remember though my time whilst reading the likes of MM and The Game I was also on PoF, just to test the shit out. Long story short, I was playing push and pull with this apparent hottie and she was head over heels, then when we met her pictures compared to what she actually looked like, were in complete contrast. She was constantly asking me if I wanted a relationship and when I said I had to go get my train, she followed me. Shit she was creeping me out!
So now when I'm online I either message simply on a fun/friendly note or wait for people to contact me; to which I get a few a week.

I have 1 friend that has told me he wants us to hit the clubs as he says that I am 1 of the coolest in our social group, which I do find hard to believe. I'm a part-time coach for a few football teams, managed a local junior team, beach lifeguard, snowboarder/skier etc.. this seems more 'guy' cool than 'woman' cool to me.
I'll give him a shout, no harm in giving it a go. Went to my first club visit the week before last for a female lesbian friends party, I was hitting on lesbians, some bi women were hitting on me and I was getting hit on by the bar staff and a tall ish guy in a blue full onesie. Was a fucked up night ha.

Went to the town for the day with my parents who were determined to make me choose something for them to buy me for my birthday on the 29th. They wanted to get me jewelry and shit like that and I'm there thinking "I don't want any of that Mystery Method shit" .. anyway after listening to about 7 verbal sales pitches long story short I chose completely pointless cuff links (like I'll use them anyway).

The sun was out and I decided that I wanted a holiday to no other place but Greece. So we went into the local Thomson travel agents just to pick up a few magazines and immediately got the "Is there anything I can help you with?" I started to look towards her and saw that she was good looking. In that split second I thought 'what do I have to lose, may aswell have a chat' so I smiled and sat down at her desk and told her the different search criteria for my holiday. (basically a random week in August)

She started talking about herself, her holidays, what she's being doing recently and how old she was. 19. I was, I suppose pleasantly surprised by that and I said "Ohh really I thought you were about 22..." 1 of them situations where you say it and then realise what you said after, HA I think I offended her slightly. Anyway, she started laughing and asking my age and probing for more information about me. She was a really talkative, light, fun, a casual kind of girl who's not really into the restaurant type environments. I liked her, well I mean she could do with getting rid of them few spots next to her chin but apart from that she looked great.

The talking went on and on. She wanted to know about me, if I'm working, what I'm interested in, places I've been, experiences I've had etc.. I'm literally awesome at finding holiday deals online and looking for flights any everything. Kinda sad I know but I know different days charter flights fly to certain countries, how to get the very best prices on return transfers, I even know some specs of airlines like baggage allowance, insurance policies etc.. She was quite surprised by this but in a pleasant way. She even asked me to join the team at this Thomson branch, she told me how to apply and gave me her name as a referral and everything.

After about 2 hours of talking and looking for deals and everything (she was totally determined to find me stuff) she printed everything off, gave me her personal number, her name again, 15% off the holiday VIP (her friends rates), the best possible exchange rates and told me that if I find any other holiday or anything just call her and come back in and she'll take a look at it.
I thanked her and started to walk out of the establishment, she stood up and started heading over to her colleague, looking at me (even through the window) whilst smiling and giggling. I was very pleased, time well spent.


That conversation made me appreciate just how easy it is to talk to people and even if they are there for 1 purpose, sales, with a bit of fun and laughter you can alternate the topics and properly engage with the person instead of their auto pilot.
I am seriously thinking of taking her up on her offer with the job possibility. I was working briefly for 3 weeks but the company went into liquidation so now back job hunting but determined to get something before the end of May so I didn't sign on the dole.
Looks like I'll be heading back to that establishment in a week or 2!
