Sure he did implicitly, he was talking about the attractive qualities of leaders, and then gave an example of a leader to reference the point. Doesn't mean I think Max has anything but dismay for Hitler, as you seem to think I was inferring. No not at all that would be daft. My point is that Hitler was beta all the way, became radicalised and used that as a way to propel himself from bullied to bully, but you can still see the beta all over him. I'm not talking about the politics or deeds of Hitler, I'm talking about his psychology and behaviour.

I think he was clearly politically attractive, because he preyed on the basic instincts of a nation who had been summarily neutered by the Treaty of Versailles. He offered a way out of economic depression, a sense of national pride, a scapegoat for Germany's problems, a bigger and better future. That's what made him attractive in political terms. I also think he rose to power suspiciously quickly, which I won't go into here, and also that a vast degree of intimidation and propaganda gave him greater boost than was his true innate popularity in the German people. However, this political attractiveness, or power, is not remotely the same thing as being an attractive man, as outlined in my earlier comments.

I know what you mean PS, you think that if you took hitler into a space where its just him and a girl that he;d be a chode but he wouldnt. He'd still carry himself as the leader of the Nazi empire and that would be attractive. He would display alpha-confidence, pride, power, leader of men. If he was toppled from power and you did the same experiment he would be a chode because his self-belief would be destroyed and he'd take on beta behaviours.

Well, there is little or no evidence to suggest he was an attractive man in the way we are interested in here (I'll go into this a bit more when I reply to Max in a sec), and I don't think that therefore we need to grasp for other ways in which we should smother that conclusion by superimposing his brief political attractiveness on top. So there are not two opposing things present between which to drive that wedge.

Not so. Look at the man, really look. Look past the crowds, look past the history, look past the power. What drove the man into his beliefs? What do you really see? I see anger, I see fear, I see a man with massive insecurities in his past. A man who has found a way to empower himself with radical philosophy, as escape from a desperately socially beta past. He fled from the fear and weakness of his past and it's driven him to the other extreme of the spectrum. Hitler was riddled with health problems, impotency problems apparently, addiction problems, and was considered shy (if not worse) by the women who worked around and for him. Take away that Meme's that surround him, take away all the pomp and social proof, put him in a room with a beautiful woman, and he would shrivel like a dying plant. I don't doubt it for a second. I know he looked alpha, but he wasn't. We want more than that for ourselves, I know you do and I know I do too.

Its true, the real alpha has conquered all issues with painful past, he is fuelled by good feelings and is centred, not running away from fear. He also requires no social proof to be high value and is completely self reliant.
