A man can both be alpha and recognise that he is still not perfect and never will be. The desire to share opinions on topics and expand his worldview by hearing and learning from others is not a beta trait, it is the trait of someone who wishes to better themselves.

We can all improve something, none of us are perfect.

That said, Refl3x's argued alpha male can also be an alpha.

Alpha is not in the actions of the person, it's in the mindset and the way in which they carry out those actions.

I fully agree with this it is everywhere, frustrating though it is I'd go so far as to say it might not be too healthy for anyone to too closely approximate objective reality. Some of these ego structures serve a purpose.
