the problem is when 2 people a short and a tall one are at the pinnacle of their careers, both with equal skill - the bigger and therfore more powerful one has the advantage - reach, power etc
but this is why we have weight divisions -- otherwise you would have a heavyweight literally killing a flyweight with 1 punch

but heavyweights are a lot slower than lightweight so it could end up being the heavier boxer who is made a fool of.






put it this way would you kill a fly with a fly swatter or a baseball bat. the fly swatter is superior cos of it's speed.

also power and size are not the same thing. think of it like this.

how much you can lift x how fast you can move = power

or amps x volts = watts

or pressure x flowrate = power for water knocking you down

or torque and rpm = horsepower

In a real fight between two people that can actually fight the person that connects once or twice first will win. If you're small but can punch well the speed is great.

...Up until the big guy gets hold of you and repeatedly smashes you into the pavement.


Jet Li however is a very real fighter, some of the people he's worked with in film have been caught off guard and paid for it. I remember watching a making of in which a huge black dude commented on how ridiculously scary his speed is. One time he did not hear a scene cut and continued, before anyone knew it the guy 3 times his side had been knocked out for not reacting how he should have done.

You do realise that the 2 videos posted are from hollywood films. Hollywood where dreams are made and anything can happen. Those two fights are in now way reflective of how they would work out in real life.

R3fl3x had it right about size only really coming in to play when the skill level is equal.
