I didn't listen to music for about 2 months when I ploughed through all this. It's an audio feast!

Wow man, Cefai is right; you definitely have a way with words,
I have always been a numbers guy with a logical and engineering mind, but my literacy and English skills are appalling. I always find my self trying to impress a set with big and colourful words or any other way to portray intelligence but I usually find that my mind just blanks and I end up looking a fucking idiot.

Do you find being so literate an advantage in the field? And how important is pronunciation?

Firstly, don't be harsh on yourself Wake. Your literacy is ten times better than most people I know - the very fact you can spell "literacy" and use it in a coherent sentence puts you in the top 10% of people for spelling, punctuation and grammar.

Secondly, literacy and pronunciation matter not one jot in the field. If you don't make a big deal out of the fact you're "appalling" with eloquency, other people won't either. It's your life man, your personality. Don't change it for the sake of other peoples' opinions. Besides, most people don't have a clue what they like and don't like - if you show confidence in yourself and your own ways, they will follow and assume it's fine.

Look at X-Factor Chris here. An excellently written report, but do you think he does that for our benefit? Of course not. He writes in his own style which happens to be funny, articulate and enthralling. If that's not your forte, don't worry about it. You can't be amazing at everything. As soon as you learn to accept and take steps to address your shortcomings rather than worrying how people will judge you because of them, you're going in the right direction.

It's just advice, fellas. Do whatever the FUCK you wanna do

I love you too Tom, nearly halfway through the Blueprint now and its already having quite a profound effect, just wish that guy in the audience would stop shouting things out all the time WHICH DONT HELP ANYTHING!!

To be honest being literate infield doenst really have that many benifits. As long as every other word isnt an expletive then I dont think really doesnt make a difference.

My numarcy skills are appalling though. I struggle with even the most basic of mental arithmatic. The other day at work when sorting out orders my coworker asked me what 5x6 was. I had absolutly no idea and my mind couldnt conjure a way in which to work out the answer either so after spending 10 seconds pretending to ponder the answer, I just let out a resigned "dont know"

Pretty embarrassing really, but there you go. Some of us are more logial and some of us are more creative but both assests are invaluble to the human race so be proud and cherish what gifts you have.

Besides Ive read your account on Styles Rules of the game and you seem very articulate

But I cant put it more elequantly than Blanca

Well Well Well, 3 years has elapsed since I last wrote a field report I can only apologize for this embarrassingly appalling ratio of late

To be honest, this forum is perhaps the most unique and unparalleled in its area in terms of the value that is dispensed here and the hilarity that often ensues from the riveting debates that take place. I feel abit of leech if I dont contribute in some way so thats why ive resurrecting these chronicles and offer some of my own personal insights

Fri 21st June

I joined Sha and Dice for an evening of well mannered frivolity. We met up in Kro for a catch up and put the world to rights. It was however, rather refreshing to see a non drunk Dice. A man so perpetually intoxicated he has even coined his own adjective to describe his prominent condition... Dice is DICED

We decided on 5th, a sweaty cesspit of drunken youths with the ever so prominent stench of vomit mixed with red bull. However there is a distinct charm about this place as it reminds me of my ever rapidly evaporating youth.

I opened a few sets here and there but nothing really stuck. I was at the bar and opened a very cute oriental looking bird, i dont particularly use routines anymore but i will always be direct in my intentions. Its just better to be efficient and find out whether a girl is down from the offset. I no longer subscribe to the notion of ploughing or being able to turn round a flagging set anymore, Im not saying this is impossible but id rather invest the time and energy on girls who, at least show some degree of interest. I managed to number close said girl with a view to meet her later in the night.

We hit the dancefloor which was utterly heaving. Dice managed to pull on there. Sha pointed out some PUA guys. There quite easy to distinguish from the rest of the club as they tend to be the people having the least amount of fun.

I know Sha has demonstrated mass disdain for these guys in his musings, however I was the same a few years back so i can on some level identify with the plight of these guys. I was a weird pua routine junkie once therefore im happy to afford these guys abit of slack, plus being sober in 5th must be fucking hellish

As usual the night descended into a drunken chaotic mess, ending with traipsing round town to find booze at 5am.... which on reflection was quite tragic

Sat 22 June

Met up with Sha Dice and Benji and decided on 42s. Im not a fan of 42s really, it just seems too spacious in a sense that it feels like approaching in a goldfish bowl. Myself and Sha did the usual thing of picking sets for each other to approach. Whilst we do primarily go out to drink and have fun, there always has to be that prevalent element of pushing yourself to approach otherwise your just standing around getting pissed. Its amazing how much more unrestrained I feel after those first couple of approaches. We hit the dancefloor and had a laugh doing stupid dance moves. It was all high energy and good fun.

A conversation with Dice got me thinking, he suggested trying more relaxed environments where the emphasis is on your conversational ability as apposed to my being at the right place, right time ablilty in loud chaotic clubs which ive been relying on far too much of late. My verbal game is an area id like to improve on massively. Also the issue of getting out of your comfort zone is something i need to address also which of course was alluded to on shas thread

My next report coming up in June 2016..

Hahahaha you should become a writer. They were good nights, we both were a bit rusty.

What kind of bars/clubs do you want to try next?

Know Thyself.

Have fun.

Great post mate, and I do find my pseudonym namesake adjective quite hilarious! Great couple of nights.

And I'm not sure its just me but I never quite feel comfortable in those kinds of environments, everything just seems too crowded and I hate having to shout to even make a conversation.

Absolutely, though I don't believe that's necessarily a bad thing, as we get older things change and our perspectives on the world change, I'd probably consider a night better had I been capable of having a few good quality conversations with somebody a bit mentally interesting than a series of brief encounters, but that's me.

It would be cool to sort a night down in Didsbury one weekend, the crowd is a little more experienced, though at the same time it can be a touch pretentious, but you take the rough with the smooth.
