On a slightly different turn of events, the new estate agents have completely fucked me over as they are saying that since I'm self employed I need a guarantor, which is going to take another 3 working days to process before I can move in, which would have been a lot more helpful had they fucking told me any time after two weeks ago when the application was first submitted instead of the fucking day before I'm supposed to move in. So yeah I'm homeless, looks like I'm sofa surfing until this shit gets sorted, the topping on the cake is that I actually have no problem paying rent.

Flat sharing mate, to be honest the biggest problem is with the guys I'm moving with, their on zero hour contracts, whereas I'm able to front 6 months rent which bypasses the need for a guarantor. The only plan of action I can take is either wait for them to figure something out or pull out, which kind of fucks them over since they don't have anywhere either.

Sounds a bit dodge on the part of your pals. You're not stumping up 6 months cash to negate the need for them to provide a guarantor are you?

So as it turns out I'm going to end up having to dish out £2,800 if I want this flat. And then pay another 4 months rent in January, that is just far far too much have no idea what to do now...

I'm thinking I would be better off on my own, I feel really bad for them since we've been looking together for a few weeks now and at the moment they don't have anywhere to go. On the flip side my company has now just offered to pay outright for a 3 bed flat on the condition that the spare rooms can be used for the other 2 guys in Oxford for when they are up for meetings (works out cheaper than a hotel). It's a no brainer, but how do I break it to my mates I feel bad leaving them in the shit with it.

just be honest with 'em and tell the offer you company has made. If they are good enough mates they will understand its a no brainer really, which it is btw
