to be a pua you have a strict method and game plan on how to pick up a chick
but me being natural it never happens because im being myself (authentic)
if your being yourself she has no reason to ask if your a PUA

This is turning into another Routine v Natural debate! If routine helps people develop themselves as a more rounded person, thus giving them a more naturally confident persona, that has to be a positive thing surely.

If the girls can't handle this that's their problem, and shows they have ego issues if they feel the need to flag this up in conversation and make a big deal out of it. At the end of the day they should be happy all us boys, who do not forget are in this together, are making an concerted effort to improve not just our own lives, but theirs.

I can only really vouch for canned openers and how it helped in the early development of my 'game'. This helped me begin to break down the whole Aproach Anxiety problem I had and showed me that girls are happy to talk to me. A BIG lesson on my journey if you ask me.

I am not saying alone canned openers or routines create a rounded person, but they are a bloody big help, they are a stepping stone to my realisation of what I can do for myself. They gave me hope and belief, whereas before I was stuck.

Neil is watching us all man... The only use I really see for unoriginal 'canned' material (stuff you didn't come up with yourself) is as an opener(which is only supposed to break the ice) or as a joke and of course who gives a shit if you say a joke someone's heard before, if your game is good the girl will laugh regardless. Wheras all my canned routines are conversations I've had before that went well, such as my dream routine and I'm pretty sure I won't get caught out from that.

I once opened the same girl twice in the same night using the same opener hahah.
She coincidentally hit the same bar and club as me and I opened her again. Busted!!!

In all honesty I have seen someone trying to game on of my friends, as it happens I knew the guy and he was, to be polite a total douche bag. So when my friend went to the bar I walked up to him and started having a friendly conversation with him, he instantly started giving me shit about this girl, he must have not known that she was my friend. Anyway, at the point, without her being there I exposed him, told him I knew what he was doing etc. At this point he put his arm around me tried to act friendly and said "why would you want to cock block me?", my reply was.. "because you're a cock" anyway I knew she was coming back, said hello to her and walked off, after about half hour, she walked up to me apparently the guy made some excuse and had to leave. At the time I did feel bad, but I would have felt worse if i had let him pick her up, so it had to be done. other than that I've never seen/overheard someone purposely gaming someone while i've been out.

To be honest im suprised this is conjuring up so much debate. This is a minor issue really yet alot of guys seem to make a big deal about it. If you concern yourself too much with getting caught/busted then all you are doing is doubting yourself and building up negative outcomes in your head which can then lead to excuses to inaction.

I like most guys here have been called out before for hitting on a girl, not for using PUA techniques per se. When this happens its about not being phased by it and ploughing on accordingly. Like Kowalski said, its a test, women will test you (and quite rightly to) so deal with it.

And like any test, learn to prepare and you will pass.

I've been practising on a couple of friends like you Cube, in preparation for going back to uni. Unfortunately I inadvertently picked the most difficult target in the world possible. Not only have I known her for about 3 years (only just really got to know her though), but she's not daft and knows all these little tricks that guys pull on her to try and pull her (including when I let her wear my white tie).
At the end of the day though, I've just rolled with it as though it's the most normal thing in the world that I'm hitting on her, and it's been a good learning experience - there won't be many that are this challenging out in the field!

Some good debate here guys. On a similar note as i mentioned before i've never been really into the MM, the magic tricks, extreme peacocking etc.... Has anyone, even at the start of their game tried a full on MM style approach. For some reason i can picture that working in LA but not in some smallish UK town/city.

Actually come to think of it has anyone seriously tried some of Ross Jeffries canned patterns? I'd love to see how a Yorkshire lass would respond to those. New wave hippy dippy LA chicks perhaps, no nonsense Northern lasses, not so sure
