This is strange.....i just got an email from Neil Strauss titled:
What if i get caught?
QUESTION: I want to use the GAME, but I'm worried I'll get
caught or called out on it.
I often hear people worrying that they'll get "caught," as if
there's some sort of physical injury associated with talking
to women. So, in the interest of dispelling irrational fears, I
put together a Game Street Team while researching an
extra book I'm adding to the paperback reissue of Rules
of the Game.
First, I gave the Street Team perhaps the most popular and
commonly used opener in The Game: The Jealous Girlfriend
Opener. And with scores of Street Teamers opening hundreds
of sets around the world, the material was only recognized
3.39 percent of the time. And, in almost half the cases where
it was recognized, phone numbers were still exchanged and
nothing was affected.
So in a worst-case scenario, with the most commonly used opener,
you're still going to be successful in 24 out of 25 approaches.
Those are pretty great odds. Especially if you remember:
recognition doesn't mean rejection. It just means the two of you
now have something in common.
