Having thoughts on trying online dating but i cant write a profile without feeling beta, "I like rock climbing and films, oh music is fun and my friends".

Been out the passed few nights, nothing too big to comment on.

Went out with Uber and ended up with some weird girls, one jumped on me, making out, clawing me, dry humping on top of me in a half-filled Spoons around 10:30pm. I said Im not taking her number and if she wants anything its tonight as she was a married woman. That's half of a long, weird, random story. We werent interested in either and wanted to get on with our night after a while, Uber spoke to them to get his chatty vibe going.

Out last night and spoke to one girl whilst out. I was bone sober and got out the house to see a friend and then ended up chilling in town.

My focuses are to be able to approach on my own accord and to get my closing down. I can approach on my own accord but that's when Im out to have a big night out, pre-drinking and I approach when i feel like it.

I want a more pro-active stance on it where I can walk around and speak to any groups of girls I want, any time, on my own accord.

The closing, escalating thing is obviously my main focus, the other is something to keep in mind though. Its been my new years resolution and I have a few more months left to get to the level I had in mind.

I've been trying to write an online dating profile as well but I'm getting stuck for similar reasons. I'm probably overthinking it.

An online dating/sex/whatever profile needs to be funny, entertain yourself. There's loads of threads on here with profile creation hints and tips.

Some people find it hard to write about themselves and some people find that what they've written looks boring or of a standard male profile.

At my 3rd (or more) attempt I wrote some psychology-based jargon that says absolutely nothing about me. I pritty much did a profile of a drug dealer/alcohol dependent mess that was expressing the harsh reality of his live to a Councillor.

It worked really well. I now only use the online dating either when I have nothing to do for a bit or when I get a message from a girl I genuinely like.

I think I will spend a good part of one day a week experimenting with online dating. Different approaches and profiles. I'll do it like an experiment, I spend a day setting up the profile, message 30 girls and await until the next week to re-do it.

That is similar to what I did, just I didn't have a structured plan so sometimes I'd change the profile and leave if for a week, sometimes a month.

1 thing that I realised was that when I started to change the profile, I got in the frame of mind that every change I made was for the better, when in reality there's certain changes I've gone back on.

Have you put any thought into the message your going to send? Such as person specific or 1 line-openers.
