I think alcohol is on the way out in general. I know a lot of kids in their 20's who don't drink, that was unheard of in my 20's.

I just eyeball my shrooms, honestly.

I haven't really had bad stomach issues. When I was younger I always used to drink a Carlsberg Special Brew after taking shrooms or acid. I find that helped me, if only to burp. Any discomfort I've had from consuming shrooms has always simply been alleviated by burps.

I thought the lemontek was supposed to prevent stomach issues. I never tried it yet. Are you getting shrooms now or truffles? Can you get them pre grown? I thought that was only truffles because the law didn't exclude underground fruits or something like that.

The main reason I drank alcohol was that it was "all I had" in terms of mind-altering substance after quitting all the other stuff. I'm very happy to now have something that I not only enjoy more, but it's beneficial in so many ways. No hangovers, feel better about myself, have more productivity, creativity, better mood, less anxiety, positive mindset, etc.

Alcohol caused me so my problems. I broke my arm, I've lost a job, it's caused setbacks, to name just a few. Not to mention it took away sooo much time being drunk and then spending days recovering. Even now that I'm sober I think about what alcohol does to you, being on "the sesh" and being pissed is kind of revolting - imagine paying money to become a drunken mess slurring your words and talking shite. Gross.

Lemontek is supposed to help with stomach issues because the acidity acts as your stomach acid, extracting the psilocybin in advance. But what this also does is bring the hit on quicker and often this intense come-up brings with it, nausea, because it hits so quickly.

I get ready-grown mushrooms now, in ounces, sent over by a reliable dood in England. Then I grind them up with a coffee grinder before consuming them with lemon and tea. The other day I also made up about 180 micro doses - I bought empty capsules to fill. I also plan to try making my own mushroom chocolate bar too.

I'll be attempting to grow my own soon too. I have sources for grow kits but I didn't have time to dedicate to it because I was in and out of the human guinea pig farm. But I'll get around to it.

So these doods just got back in touch to ask if I'd be interested in talking about the role I was interviewing for (it's a content/marketing-related role). It feels like longer, but that rejection was only a month and a half ago.

Anyways, despite my grievance and residual resentment at having been booted in the balls like that, I think I will consider it.

I literally don't have a lot to lose by giving it a go. I mean, it's better than the job I have now which is as a fucking unemployed freelancer surviving on money from being a human guinea pig on the reg.

I'll probably write back tomorrow agreeing to meet before the end of the week and see how the call goes. One thing I won't be doing is going through the interview process again. Although, I'd like to think they wouldn't expect that to happen just a matter of weeks after 4 interviews and a complex assignment.

Whilst I'd be going into it with a fully positive mindset, if it doesn't turn out to be great, I could at least use it as a springboard into something bigger and better.

I have just accepted a job offer in Marketing for the highest salary I've ever had. Plus, a nice little cash welcome bonus gift.

Full disclosure, I got fired from my last role back in February due to my drinking. Not literally, I mean, they didn't know I was drinking on the job and shit, but they fired me due to me not fulfilling my job responsibilities effectively, which was caused by, you guessed it, my excessive and ridiculous drinking.

That's one of the many reasons I'm delighted to have ditched the drink this year, in favor of something incredible - mushrooms.

I have had more job interviews this year than I've probably had in my life, which, in turn, meant a lot of rejections. I could have easily taken a step back into something easy; some crap I'm 10x overqualified for but I kept the faith and kept plowing on through all the interviews and rejections until I got what I wanted.

So here's to getting properly back on my feet
