I didn't have much time to do any lunchtime stops today. Partly my own fault cause I was blathering to a colleague in the canteen. I think I was doing that to avoid going out and feeling like I had to do approaching.

When I eventually went out I didn't see much. There was one though. A really cute Eastern Asian girl with her shiny black hair in a ponytail, skin tight jeans. She was pretty hot. Sitting on a bench tapping on her phone, nobody near her. I started thinking "be direct, sit down and tell her she's cute" but got in my head and bottled it.

Why is that better? Its the same question. Say either one, if she says "No" to the boyfriend or "Yes" to the single then you know you're in.

I get the point though, instead of wasting time and just giving her the validation of being chatted up it's better to find out.

This could have been a subtle congruence test. To see your reaction. I had it with that girl at work I where she said it the only real time we were alone together. She just dropped it in like "yeah I know, my boyfriend said blah blah blah". But she hadn't mentioned a bf in the 6 months before that. In fact if she ever mentioned a guys name she would always add "..he's a friend".

Definitely a shit test. I reacted but tried not to show it, which is reacting, so I probably failed.

When girls say tons of stuff about friends saying this and that and its just random shit I say "That friend says a lot of bullshit", in a playful way.

Call her out on her tests instead of trying to think of topic specific replys.
