Do what you want to do, simple.
If you want to do weights, do weights, if you want to do Martial arts do that
Who gives a fuck.

Through Bodybuilding i have always been in very good muscular condition, i also swim, rock climb, mountain bike and used to do Martial Arts -- i thnk i have pretty much tried my hand at almost everything.

Just keep an open mind

I think however that you will find that in 90% of sports people use some form of Weight training to Improve their performance.
Including UFC etc

I think from a PUA point of view nothing looks more alpha or pua friendly than being reasonably muscular (reasonably) physique

Sorry for falling off the wagon routine-wise. Been a bit busy, but I'll be better this week, honest

Back and Biceps

Today we're concentrating on the pull motion exercises, namely the back and the bicep muscle groups.

All sets are incline, which means that with each set you should increase the weight slightly as you reduce the rep count in order to keep in intensity up. The entire routine should take no longer than 25 minutes. Trying to keep your rests between sets and exercises to 30 seconds.

Pull-ups - 3 Sets - Reps to Fail (as many as you can)
Bent Over Row - 3 Sets - Reps 12, 10, 8
Single Arm Row - 2 Sets - Reps 12, 10 (per side)
Reverse Flys - 2 Sets - Reps 12, 10
Dumbbell Hammer Curl - 2 Sets - Reps 12, 10
Cable Curl - 2 Sets - Reps 12, 10

Stretch out, done.

Remember to keep the weight to an intensity where those last couple of reps are tricky.

Regardless of OP's qualifications, these are bodybuilding routines, more for aesthetics than legitimately being in good shape (having endurance, speed, strength, agility, flexibility etc)

I know a guy whose actual, real-life job (ya rly) is a PTI in the Royal Marines, where you have to be in genuinely good shape, not just look like it. I've started following his routine after 3 years of bodybuilding, and I'm already much fitter, healthier and stronger, plus my heart rate is down in the low 50s. I don't have to eat a trillion tonnes of protein per day either!

I'll post it tomorrow when I can be arsed typing more.

Night all.

Actually, these are two routines designed to begin the principle of muscle use / engagement. As you'll see, they're change wildly over the coming weeks as I mix it up / intensify in certain areas.

Considering that I taught (and actively participated in) ~6 hours of classes a day (think Spin, Body Conditioning, Core, Combat, Boxing, Circuits etc) for over four years I think I know what it means to be in good shape; both aesthetically and 'actually'.

id reckon that everyone who slags off weight training should stick a picture of themselves up and we`ll see how many of them are keyboard warriors

m8 of mine is a Ninja in Japan, now that is the ultimate physical Specimen, he can wave his hands and makes a swoosh sound and he vanished and appears in a tree.

I`ll post up his Ninja Routine tomorrow

Well fair enough - all sounds overly-complicated though. I don't think many people on here have 6 hours spare each day.

You could use one post to get everyone on this forum to a level of fitness which is higher than 95% of the population's, rather than an evolving programme which very few people will be able to/want to follow.

It's not cool being a NINJA anymore (No Income, No Job or Assets).

But as you say he's in good shape and can go invisible and shit, post up his routine here, man!
