That’s right, There is something about mocking someone's online avatar that’s just so 'Alpha' isn’t there?

Take me now Kowalski you raving man beast you...

By the way did you pick that avatar before or after Quentin Tarrantino told you you’d be 'cool' if you did?

*N.B the inherent irony of this post is not lost on the Joker-man.

**neither is the firm understanding that only massive cunts refer to themselves in the third person or resort to baiting other people on internet forums.

Dammit Kowalski wins again...Or does he?

Today's movies teach us that the dorky guy CAN and WILL get the hot girl against all odds, and advertising has us short-circuited into buying everything in sight hoping that it will attract women, which it doesn't. There's reasons that PUA techniques had to come around within the last 20 years; society as a whole is fucked in head. Marketing and media has our heads stuck up our asses, something that previous generations didn't have to deal with on nearly this level. And it's only going to get worse I'm afraid.

Before all of 'this' happened you did have great 'coming of age' stories being told in the 2nd half of the 20th century, but if you take an even farther step back those stories were even stronger and more masculine, and even stronger before that, and I think that the 'masculinity loss' is caused by the medium and the abundance of stories that we have today. Every generation seems to water down the stories that they grew up on in an attempt to 'remix' and make a profit.

Second this with other views in society that clash with classic male maturity, such as geeks/nerds making huge amounts of cash from the tech boom and subsequently being 'accepted' or even 'glorified' in society rather than being traditional shunned, feminist movements pushing for gender neutrality and equality (but not fairness), and androgyny showing up more and more in fashion, I think men (and women) today are more fucked in the head than ever and confused with what they need to be or what they want. And film reflects that.

But it's not all bad. When a guy can learn to be masculine and not a douchebag, suddenly he's capable of filling a void that women want but don't understand that they want until it walks right up to them... making picking up women today easier than probably ever; If you're capable of reflecting those traits. That's where pickup comes in

You should listen to the first disk of Bad Boy's 'Badboy Lifestyle' audio cd's. He discusses a bit more there.
Talking my language bro. Spot on break down there, excellent post.

Question: Are we gonna reach an event horizon where all ‘this’ falls back on itself in your opinion/s? Do phenomon like Twilight and Pua (for women and men respectively) suggest we’re ALREADY at that point collectively as a (western) culture? i.e Young girls clamouring (atleast in the world make believe) to return to the simplicity of Victorian gender dynamics and men looking for a road maps to guide them through the spaggetti bowl of loose ends and mixed signals that their social interactions have the potential to be reduced to if they aren’t careful/assertive about it...?

Btw Have you read the Book of Man? The writer was on O'Reily talking about it the other day and it sounded interesting touches on some of these issues...

The reason there are "Victorian Gender dynamics" in Twilight is because the writer is a Mormon. They have a very traditional view of the roles of men and women in terms of maternal/paternal roles.

I really do think that Twilight is just a blip, such as Harry Potter. Successful franchises that do not particularly reflect views of society.

That's the reason the writer put those values in it sure. It doesn't explain the reason why billions of young fannys all over the world got dripping wet over a romance that's built around them though does it?

women like him because of his willingness to put himself in harms way for her.

women still get wet over valour & chivalry.

if your a pussy & your girl is out & some guy saves her!! she is either gonna fuck him... or if she is in love with u and doesnt, she was defo tempted.

its natural for women to love protection.

ur better fighting for your woman and taking a beating but giving your all for her.

than pussying out to save a slap! as long as a girl sees you are willing to fight to protect her... i dont think she will ever cheat on u. ( this does not include starting fights just so u can show her u fightin, this is u protecting her! not being a dickhead bully)

UNLESS SHE IS A PROPER SELFISH SLAG

Didn't you once say that practically ANY woman can be convinced to cheat on her man? Or something similar

Edit: Good post though..

ye, i think there is always a way, it just takes time & finding a weakness... but u will be hard pushed finding a weakness here...

plus this its somethin i learned fairly recently pretty solidified in my view.

women dont like bullys, but LOVE protective men.

N.B. also even tho u can pretty much get most women to cheat eventually, u would need to know what ur doing & i would never put that much effort into somethin that vulgar.

also alot of the time when guys are 'PUTTING TIME IN' they are preparing for a difficult point so they can swoon in.

this is the nature of the lower end of the spectrum of men

I have started to notice, that women like to be looked after.. not in a needy way, but in a sense that you have a strong center about you, and like you say, would protect her...
Although, when I was 14, I got punched in the face by some idiot who bust my lip on the park, and as I went to hit him back, his mate hit me from the side in the temple.. As I lost my viewpoint for a sec, I turned round to see my girlfriend at the time punching the first dude square in the face and knocked him out! Mutual protection!

While I agree with all of that 100% I think there is more too. Lots of characters are 'protective', movies and books throw up lots of life and death situations that give them the chance to be...but in Twilight he's also controlling.

That's something second wave feminsim conditioned a whole generation of women to lash out against at all cost. Women in the 1970s/80s were told: If a man even thinks about trying to control you or acts like he's your daddy ATTACK and REJECT him...

Now that generation went on to become the bitter unfullfilled hippy liberal perennially single mothers of many of the girls we're all chasing today.

And I think at least some of these women look at their mum and think...'I don't like how all that feminist bullshit worked out for you mum, thanks to it I never had/knew my daddy properly so I'm not about to kick up a stink and do one every time a guy I meet acts like one just a little bit...because guess what I kinda like/need it.'
