No it is nothing to do with scientology! And that bookshop is nowhere near the Scientology shop or headquarters. By the way I first heard about astral projection in a punk rock fanzine in the late 1980s. It is a real phenomenon as a couple of years after I read about it a friend of mine told a group of us about it and his experiences of practicing it. I was doing some outreach work for a website and somehow landed on a site which had Astral Projection stories to be more specific the owners of the site stories.

Read several of them it was kind fantasy based and the sort of crap I get side tracked into reading. One thing that struck is all they talked about is bad experiences and dangers involved. I mean every single story even though they said they did it daily?

Due to level of my professional internet time wasting ability that has led me to become advertisement blind, I hadn't noticed that at the end of each story was a link for a paid book on "how to astral safe"

I concluded that they had very unlikely ever astral projected but where very good marketers as the story was infact a well done sales pitch. I would say most people in this sector are likely scammers.

I am not naive! I have spoken to a friend who was an expert in astral projection having achieved it many times! By the way the article in the punk fanzine was called: "How to get out of your head without taking drugs". It was a very interesting article. I think I read it back in 1987. It explained techniques for achieving astral projection such as reaching out and trying to touch something which is just out of reach or trying to leave your body when you are in a lucid dream. The author described his experiences of it.

By the way millions of people had out of body experiences when in near death situations or during operations while in hospital. Millions of people can't all be lying or all be imagining it. The thing is when you are in hospital under anaesthetic the anaesthetic stops all brain activity so there is no way you could be just dreaming it.

Did this "expert" give you a palm reading too?
There are a significant number of people who are susceptible to suggestion and cold reading, weak minds play funny tricks when fed just the right amount of optimism as a form of escapism, it's simply a defence mechanism provided by the mind to protect the ego.

I'm serious. Astral project has been proven loads of times. Its science and you can't argue with science.

Astral projection is nothing to do with palm reading and is done on your own. No one makes you believe you are astral projecting. People use many different techniques to astral project from meditation to leaving their bodies during a lucid dream. How do you explain the millions of people who have experienced it while no even trying, while having an operation and being unconscious under anaesthetic? i.e. an unexpected out of body experience.
