I believe the question unanswered is, "How can you claim women are behind the pornography industry when the primary financial benefactors are men"

(As a side note as I write this I am aware that I just made an assumption, I have not searched companies house to see if the directors and shareholders of these companies are in fact men - I just feel more comfortable assuming this right now... which is a bit eerie)

Personally, although I welcome you to the forums Duncan I find your views very out-dated and these are views I do not subscribe to. Having read your website and your 'manifesto' it sounds like a personal vendetta against your wife which has snowballed into an overall distain for women and womens freedoms.

I support womens freedoms and support womens sexual liberation. This is a good thing, at the end of the day I would like to think that as human beings we should all be treated fairly and without oppression. The idea of men having controlling and tryanical relationships with women has no place in a modern western society. Only the 'Taleban' and other skewed bigots would subscribe to your beliefs. It is no wonder your pleas have fallen on deaf ears.

Most of us (at least) are here because we love women and we enjoy their company and we are here to enhance our relationships with women not to try and get one up over them, control them or to conjure up any conspiracies against them.

As Jaz was saying, and he is right. It is men who run the porn industry think Hugh Hefner, Larry Flint et al. I'm sure you've heard the adage 'Sex sells' and yes it does, it taps into those human urges that are within us all to some degree or other. The marketing men jump onto this bandwagon and no doubt many of these people behind thrusting these images into our faces are indeed men. It really comes down to men exploiting other men with women being the commodity.

The men falling victim to pornography on an obessive level only have themselves to blame because they lack the self control and desire within them to go out and have fulfilling relationships with women through choice of their own.

When a long relationship ends it is all to easy to fall into a victim mentality of blaming everyone but yourself and feeling bitter about it. You probably feel the world is against you. The world is not against you, and nor is the world obliged to help you either, instead everything is fair game you make of it what you will. Your current stance is not going to favor you unless of course you enjoy wallowing in your own quagmire of bitterness and contempt.

If I were you I wouldnt be so indignant, and drop your crusade against women and adopt a more 'live and let live' attitude. The world is much more fulfilling and pleasant when you don't let things like the exploitation of men by women through pornography grate at you. Try it. I hope here some of the guys can assist and help re-align your somewhat warped view of things.

@ Dolphin, I think its fair to say your assumption is fairly accurate. You only need to watch Louis Therouxs documentary on the porn industry to see that all the directors, producers and financial benefactors are indeed men.

Please forgive me, but I have suffered several setbacks today. My return flight from Madrid to London was cancelled and I have lost my wallet, so I am not feeling up to a proper reply. Suffice it to say that if you cannot see that it is men who are being exploited by female sexual display -- whether or not some men are also making money on the side -- then I suggest you are simply burying your head in the sand.
