Default Single Is King! - 03-04-2011, 08:19 PM

My mate has his own company yeah, he works 70 hours a week, he has a girl & 2 kids.

he is always telin me how my playboy lifestyle cant me fun and i should settle down.

after RAGING a convo at me earlier, i said to him

Look, You work 70 hours a week, you come home to the kids & girl & have an early night, and family suits you... you have no time to be single...

but look at your average person, they work 35 hr per week, they have every evening & weekend free so THEY get into relationships through necessity, They dont have the ability to fuck diff girls, or create relationships where girls agree to JUST SEX.

95% of males in relationships (lets say under 30) given the following choice

A, Be given the ability & success with women i have

vs

B, stay with your current partner

they would choose to be single because most are with their GF coz they got tired of TRYIN to get laid.

however the majority will tell you your life compares nothing to having stability

WHAT CRAP

relationships in this modern age are a crutch, there is plenty to do that can keep u occupied! there is plenty of time for relationships when ur old.

This is an entirely subjective argument and it comes down to personal preference. You can fuck right off saying that people would choose to be single if they could have those abilities. The vast majority of people in the community settle into relationships, not out of necessity but because they prefer the connection and bonds they have with their partners, it that makes them feel good, it makes ME feel good. They prefer that over being single.

Might as well be arguing that apples are better than oranges. It's down to personal tastes.

Different social values, morals have certainly changed.

Almost every? Divorce rate has been going down over the last 5 years and is currently at it's lowest since 1977. 42% of all marriages end in divorce and on average and the average length being 24 years.

I think a large part of it is that people are in relationships for the wrong reasons. I don't have a problem with either lifestyle. In regards to relationships I think that guys cheat cos they don't have as you said "your skills" so they get in a relationship and get lucky every now and again. the reason they are in a relation ship is to provide them with security and as such their reason for being in a relationship is lame and so are they.

On the other hand if they get in to a relationship because they want kids with them, love them, or whatever. Then it can work. the thing is most women aren't relationship material. I have girl I really like and I'd love to spend forever with her and raise kids and being a player doesn't work well with that plan.

It's a personal thing I'd rather have 1 amazing girl than a bunch of average girls.

Way i see it is there are different benefits of being single and different benefits of being with somebody.... idealy its good to have a healthy experiance of both of these in your lifetime. However i think if you settle down and have children with a woman then you must stay with that woman if possible, until the child has grown up (aged 18).

its a VERY weak trait...

also... 24 years is going into last generation... im 26.... so why not try stats in the last 10 years, which i imagine will be detrement to your argument.. im sure wikipedia will help you out again

I already knew the statistic, generally stated as 2 out of 5, I just wanted to make sure I quoted an accurate statistic. Accuracy is important.

I do enjoy being right, I strive to be right as much as possible but I'll be very happy to say "Fair play, I'm wrong" when shown otherwise.

What you actually have a problem with is more likely the fact that I've disagreed with you and pointed it out when you're wrong a few times recently.

I'm not going to hold back when I disagree or see that you've said something that's not true. If I know something else to be true and something i read to be wrong then I feel it's important to point that out to people.

It's nothing personal against you, it's just happened a few times in a short period of time. If that makes you dislike me then fair enough, do you think that's going to affect me pointing out when something is wrong?
