He's scaring the chickens and that is a good thing. He is fucking with people who need to be fucked with. Rather Charlie Sheen than the status quo all day long.
Charlie Sheen or stay living in your home town married to some girl you don't think is that fit but you think is the best you'll ever get a job you hate and bad kids. This is the ideal he is fucking with.

That's just it though, Charlie Sheen is the epitome of the Status Quo. Rich, famous, cocky guy who hasn't really done anything that great abuses his wealth and position by succumbing to every vice you can think of. Sounds like pretty much every footballer, young actor, musical 'artist' etc out there.
What would be a real example of someone bucking the trend would be someone like Viggo Mortensen, Warren Buffet or Graeme Le Saux.
It doesn't have to be either 'party animal' or 'typical unhappy marriage with 2.4 kids and a house in the suburbs'...there are alternative lifepaths which are better than both. He attracts attention from fellow dumbs, the 'Jersey Shore generation' as i call them, that's all. The New York Times doesn't even mention him, neither do good British newspapers. As for myself - these videos on this site were the first I've seen of him since I was last forced to watch Two and a Half Men - he just isn't worth giving your attention to.
