thing to watch about getting big forearms - it detracts from the size of your biceps/triceps (makes them look smaller than they are)
same with getting big traps, it detracts from shoulder width

that's good to know. I want big forearms shoulders and lats mainly. My legs are pretty big any way I cycle and do a bit of calf work.

how do you build shoulders without working the traps though?

Yeah i can imagine. Im less concerned about the bodybuilding aspect anyway. Just so long as i can lift what i wanna lift. Im only making do with dumbells at home for the time being until i get a barbell. Cant afford to go gym and training sessions.

yea me and reflex are in to body building. you would probably be better off running and cycling for your legs if you've just got medium weight dumbbells.

I dont train my traps directly at all and they are pretty big, they get a lot of indirect work from shoulder pressing and Lateral raises
I`ll say this though, nothing says 'meathead' more than an impressive set of traps.

you always want some decent trap development, just dont go overboard

I don't do shrugs kinda seems pointless to me.

legs are key in martial arts a lot of peeps think it's the arms but with proper technique legs give you most of your power.

Star jumps are good (proper ones not girly ones)

but you're not gonna do shit for your legs using dumbbells. you wanna be doing squats preferably using a power rack or using a machine.

stair climbing is good too find a big set of steps like in rocky. fill a rucksack with weight and run with it. or give piggy backs to your friend or birds you'll look weird but that's similar to what you do when you throw guys.

yeahh amen to that. Im just using dumbells for the time being. I just got em last weekend. im getting a bench this weekend and then i plan on getting a squat rack and barbell in the coming weeks so its all good.

my legs were absolutely knackered after my last workout. I was using dumbells but i did like 3x8 squats, straight leg deadlifts and good mornings with em.

thin is I'm not really in a position to talk about legs cos I've got a genetic advantage. My legs have always been huge but to be fair I remember walking about ten miles in a day wen I was about 6/7. either way I've got a head start.
