I have fancied this chick for ages. She was my student for about a year up until a year ago. Her name is Isabella. I used to call her Isabellissima (bellissima means really beautiful in Italian) which used to make her beam from ear to ear and start giggling (so much for indirect theory telling you never to compliment pretty women on their looks).

She dresses like a skater chick with Etnies trainers and used to turn up to my English lessons stoned and laughing all the way through. She was a good student too.

I had a crush on her and made no secret of it. But of course she had a bf so I never pursued it. She would always message my chatbox on fb late at night and stuff. I just used to tell her, "Let me know when you're single".

She always used to come over to talk with me whenever she saw me out and even texted me to invite me out with her and her friends a couple of times.

Anyway, I was sat on a bench outside the bar with my mates last week and she came over and plonked herself down beside me. She was drunk and the first thing she said to me was, "I split up with my bf. He says he doesn't feel attracted to me anymore."

Then she started laughing and said, "He'll never find a girl like me again." I nodded and said, "I don't believe he will. So when are we going out together?" "Whenever you want," she said. "I'll call you," I said.

Since then I sent her a message on fb to see if she wants to meet up and talk for one hour in Italian and one in English, to benefit us both. She was very enthusiastic and we set up a date for Tuesday.

I saw her out last night and she was drunk again. She was yelling my name as soon as she saw me and pulled me over to introduce me to her friends. She said she was looking forward to Tuesday. Her friends were all guys and immediately started cockblocking Sicilian style, like physically standing between us and shit.

They wanted to go somewhere else, but she whispered to me to wait for her to come back. Then they kind of dragged her away. After that I didn't see her again, but it sounds like it's on for Tuesday.

I'm well aware that there could be rebound issues and all that bollocks and am totally prepared for it and don't care. If I just get to shag her, even once (which I will), I've won.

He says he doesn't fancy her anymore; well guess what. I do. It's my turn now.

Oh I know the territory, it's all too familiar. I was just checking out her fb and those guys seem to be mates of her ex, so that's why they were cockblocking me so vigilantly. They won't be able to do it when I meet her on her own though and take her to a quiet bar with cosy sofas ;-)

I can't remember where I read it but asking a woman out on a date when you are already out and in her company is an admission of failure. Idealy you should just get it on then and there, but your with your mates and she's with hers and somehow you don't feel mentally prepared, you need a bit of time and space to get ready, so you exchange numbers, create a time bridge or whatever and then part ways.

the worst one is when your next to a bird with a drink in you hand and say, "We should go out for a drink sometime." lol

If you want to and only if you want to -- date her, kiss her but dont make a sexual move on her and wait for her to make it, this lines up her continued drama of 'am i unnatractive' she makes the move--you fuck her, next date she makes the move and you fuck her so on and so forth ubntil her drama ends, but the act of letting her make the move extends her drama for a lot more dates.

So I texted her at Easter, and she never replied... but that doesn't mean shit. I went to meet her this evening and I was even prepared for her not turning up, but she did, bang on time, just as I was about to buy a pack of cigarettes.

We went for an aperitivo, which is like a free buffet with whatever drink you buy. So it's basically a cocktail and as much food as you can eat for five Euros.

When we had eaten and drunk up, I suggested that we move to another bar; the one I always take "day twos" to, that is very quiet, classy, and has comfortable sofas.

She was looking super hot, even hotter than I remember as she has lost 10 kilos in the last couple of weeks, due to the stress of a break up, I guess (I never remember her looking fat at all though).

I'm going to give her a nine, just for the simple fact that I have fancied her for so long; I'm sure by some peoples' standards she's not... but I like her and that's all that matters.

We had a couple of beers, and chatted in English and Italian. I was a little bit nervous, because I've fancied her for so long and wasn't expecting this stroke of luck. We had a good laugh though and she moved up against me (oh how I love quiet bars with comfy sofas for "day twos").

I didn't kino her as much as I usually do before going in for the kiss, so there was still that little bit of lunge anxiety, but I just went for it anyway and we ended up making out with each other for a good while. Very nice; I've been wanting to do that for about two years.

After a bit, I suggested we move to yet another bar. She agreed and so I went with my scooter and she took her car.

When I got to the next destination, she called me to say that she had just had a phone call from a female friend in distress (chick drama) and couldn't come anymore and that she was really sorry. For all I know, this could be something to do with her ex, but that's fine, I know the territory.

I was supercool about it, just laughed and said, "Hey no bother, it happens, maybe we can hear from each other some time," to which she responded quite eagerly, "Tomorrow I am having an aperitivo with my female friends and then I'd like to see you."

Actually, it was convenient for me to call it a day as I have two couchsurfers from Paris staying at my house and I had to go and let them in. If she doesn't call me, I probably won't even notice as I have a shit load of other couchsurfers coming and am living in total abundance.
