He's not even the landlord. He is the contract holder for the apartment, but he just rents it and sub-rents the rooms to us. He is the one that deals with the landlord.

Two things piss me off: one, he met his gf on the internet and she stays over whenever he wants, so that's ok. Two, he talks about security, yet he had a row with some African fella who was supposed to rent one of the rooms and is now walking around Palermo with a set of keys to our home, which he won't give back.

Double standards; he's just being a party pooper for the sake of it. He's a complete chode.

The couchsurfers are mostly out during the day and when they are here, they stay in my room. I'm right now in the process of looking for my own place.

I just did a load of translating while in a worked up mood. I read the other day that it is an emotionally intelligent move to work whilst worked up, as you are driven and can use the anger as energy. Also your critical facilties are on high alert. I certainly flew through it!

I guess it depends on the job, it actually worked out well for me; I worked at turbo speed and was super sharp/critical. They say the same for depression, that's why workoholics exist.

Instead of hitting the bottle, do something constructive, with that anger, use it as energy... then at least, you have made a few quid at the end of it. That's what I did after my last breakup, actually; I just immersed myself in work to not think about it too much and had good money waiting for me by the time I'd snapped out of it.
