Stop telling everyone you're a personal trainer as if it's some amazing achievement! True story: I have a 35 year old friend who was a telemarketer, he wanted a career change, so he did a 12 week course and boom! - personal trainer.

It's the tone of your posts, throughout the forum. There's just this boastful, arrogant undertone in all of them - and as The_Regulator proved, you're not quite as knowledgable as you think you are - although I could have probably told you that.

I'm out of this thread it's dumb anyway

after seeing the fit girl I nearly pulled in a queue again tonight and realising there's no way I could get her in my current state I know that I will only rival other guys in the club when I'm physically more healthy, with a stable income, hobbies, vast friend network, car, clean room, food in the fridge, wine in the cupboard AND tight game. I will now read this whole thread and start training. I'm so unfit that 60% of the time I feel nearly dead all the time.

read it..not as clearly inpirational as hoped but the overall theme was good. I'll start pressups situps and running round and round the park until I nearly puke, and go from there.

Just thought id add my 2p.

That routine seems to have too much volume imo (unless your on steriods). If your starting off my advice would be to buy mark rippetoe starting strength and follow his advice and routines. Id used to do the body part split, but since changing to full body 3x per week ive got bigger. heres the routing i started with:-

Workout A - Squats 3 x 5, Bench Press 3 x 5, Deadlift: 1 x 5, Dips 2 x 8
Workout B - Squats 3 x 5, Overhead Press 3 x 5, Power Clean: 3 x 5, Chin-ups 3 x 8
So for example, it'd be monday A, wednesday B, friday A, next monday B then repeat.

i have changed it abit now but its because i cant commit to 3x per week.

BTW i havent got any qualifications and this is just my opion , hope it helps.

My routine atm is a 5 day a week routine. Chest/back monday, arms/shoulders tuesday, legs wednesday, Chest/back thursday and arms/shoulders friday.

I also run 3 miles to work every other day, and a 5 mile run on the saturdays for cardio.

Steady there fella
Your muscles may be recovering but your central nervous system needs downtime too.

Just ensure you are making progress and not training acheing muscles

I couldnt keep that routine up long term even if i was drug assisted

I have to disagree. Yeah, you need downtime, but a high focus split body routine with a daily morning run is a great routine.
