So yesterday I’m out with my mate. We're at the bar getting drinks and there is this proper cute girl and her two mates next to us.

She looks bloody young (abt 19-20) and is wearing a gorgeous pink dress but I happen to catch eye contact with her and say;

Me (big smile) - “Hey that Dress looks fantastic”

Her - “Thanks” (Smiles)

Me (placing hand on the small of her back and leaning in as it’s a loud bar) - “If you were five years older I would totally chat you up”

Her (smiling and brushing hair back) - “How old are you”

Me – “Very old” (Smile, wink)

Go back to my mate and we wander off

Immediately I see her excitedly whisper to her mates what I said to her.

Now this wasn’t a line. I’m trying to get away from scripted game type shit and just be more honest and congruent with who I am.

I didn’t “stay in set” because it was just an interaction.

Let's put this in simple terms.

The reason this belief exists in your head is because society is of the opinion that older people are more worldly and experienced, meaning that their social and worldly knowledge is somehow taking advantage of the younger person.

The answer really lies in, are you cool with the idea of using social experience and knowledge to take advantage of other people? Consciously learning things from these communities is contrary to this bit of social conditioning.

Personally I think it's all bullshit. There are fucked up and socially stunted people in all age groups, whether you are taking advantage of a person's lack of experience merely because of your own experience is only identifiable on an individual basis because there are plenty of socially savvy and experienced people at 20 compared to 30.

Define taking advantage of someone. When you can define that you can draw the moral lines accurately here.

Personally I think it all lies with your own behaviour and the intention of your interactions. If you are acting honestly and being real opposed to a trickster using manipulatory tactics in order to get a girl then you are perfectly in the clear.

That girl will be approached by 30 other guys in the same night who are in her own age range, many without the level of morals you have shown by even considering this social dilemma. She can do much worse.

13-14 years age diff is sod all. I dated a 23 YO when I was 44. I can tell you that when your out with a hot girl much younger than yourself, your social proof goes ballistic. In your small town the most likely result of you getting it on with this girl is that loads of others will suddenly get interested. I think it was mystery who said that social proof is the closest a man can come to growing tits, it really is that strong an effect.

But for some reason it would look & sound bad to be with anyone under 18.

18 is a nice number, & at this age they are a (young) adult.
