I think we can end on this note: People have limits but, pretty much EVERYONE can do things to improve their situation. If I practice kung-fu everyday I'm never gonna be as good as Bruce Lee, but I'll be a damn sight better at it than I am now!

Here's an interesting thought - has anyone ever actually asked a woman if looks are important when feeling attracted to a guy?

Every single woman I've had this very discussion with has said what Phil has been saying for the last 5 pages, but no-one seems to be taking it on board - on some level, looks matter. Not necessarily the be-all and end-all of attraction, but they form part of the equation, so to speak.

I've asked women and they all say something different. I've had girls say that they would NEVER go with a guy unless they were physically attracted to him and others that have said they don't care about looks.

Not really mate. I'd say most people, even good looking people, have a few insecurities. I think the people who can look in the mirror and say, "God, I am perfect are few and far between."

Actually you have to distinguish between "worrying about if good looks matter" and "worrying about the way you look"

Personally, I'm happy how I look and consider myself a good looking guy, but that doesn't mean that I don't think about it, consider it and work on it (in the gym and such)

Exactly the sort of responses I have heard from girls chatting to each other about guys. Thus, stop making a song and dance over your looks guys, it's not imperative.

i dont just spurt shit out coz i feel like it.

i get close & comfortable with women who then tell u the truth, and women care.

I dunno if you guys seen tho, this years number 1 sexiest man in the top 100 is peter kay.....

Midas, these women who say they dont care about looks... put them infront of 2 guys an ask which they prefer.... and they will never say

Id need to speak to them first. everyones first response would be the one the are physically attracted to.
