I've been on POF since March 2013 and have averaged meeting with 1 girl every month. That's 10 to save you working it out. It could have been several more but when I get 3 or 4 in a week I aren't motivated enough to meet them all.
All but 1 first meet have ended in sex and the 1 that didn't, the girl just seemed to like first dates as she'd had 5 in 2 weeks.
All but 2 of the 10 I met them at their house, which is far easier to arrange than I ever would have imagined.
I currently have 2 fb's, meeting another girl at her place on Sunday, and 2 girls on POF that I think are probably solid meets. One is already open to the idea of meeting at her place but she's throwing me hoops I have no need to jump through.
My method is quick, simple and quickly gets rid of those that aren't serious about wanting a guy.

In answer to the original question, yes I have successfully used POF to meet women :-)

PS Before anyone says it, yes I know meeting girls in the real world is best. I had my own reasons not to do this last summer and it's currently cold and wet outside, but I will be out as soon as it warms up. Have just changed gyms and found the sauna is a great way to meet girls too! Wish I'd known all this when I was 20
