I'm confused why you'd spend time doing this instead of just using online dating sites. If your goal is to meet up with girls, why not just use a site full of girls who are there specifically for that? Just seems a lot more efficient that way. I do pretty well through online dating, but the main reason I bother with it is because it takes barely any time to sort something. This looks like it takes ages.

Yeah it seems the consensus I'm getting here is it's fine to use it as a means to contact somebody that you've already got some connection with but prior to that its pointless. I was just a bit curious as to if anybody had gotten any luck with it, I'd thought about trying my chance with PoF, but to be honest if I can just go out to a nearby bar or social scenario with real interaction anything else just seems quite sad really...

I'd be disinclined to scrap it completely because you can find some interesting people on there, I had some awesome dates from there, I've had some awesome dates that I met on nights out and I had some awesome dates from people I met on the street/around work.

It would be sad to wholly focus on 1 and devote all of your time and energy to it but having adabble here and there and taking what you enjoy from it seems like a balanced and good perspective...
