True.

I am just coming from a place where I find myself able to chill the fuck out and listen more. I used to jump at the slightest hint of something someone said that I could relate to. This involved me attempting to tell my own story within there's. I still have to stop myself doing it. I now see this trait in others around me. It's not good.

In response to the original question, i dont think you should ever aim to get rid of the awkwardness, it'll probably always be there at some point of the interaction.

Why.

Why did you get into that profession

Why did you choose to live in that area

asking why promotes a new story, it also shows you are interested. in the middle of them talking somewhere ill pick up on somethin i know about, ill probly take the piss out of them..

but 'Why XY or Z' opens up new streams of convo with anyone

People love to talk about themselves
Great advice

By seeing it as your responsibility to make the interaction work you are starting from the wrong premise.

I remember going though this, you need to get some experience under your belt, and get the confidence of talking to people and relaying stories, in a calm , not panicked , natural nature.

When I first started out I would talk really fast, as I was panicking to get all the routines in, Theres even posts on here I wrote years ago about recording my voice in set... WHAT A NUTTER.... The reason was, i had no idea about calibration and was completely in my head and most of time all i needed to do was shut the fuck up and listen to girls.

One things that helped was kesia nobles 10 hook lead dvd you can get from torrent.

dont worry theres another six around the corner...

I see this got bumped I forgot I even started this thread.
Now I realise the awkwardness will never go away.
I was hoping there was some magic way to be rid of it when I put this up.
But there isn't so u just get on with it.
More experience = less awkwardness is the short answer.
Cheers Tebbs ill check out that dvd you suggested

Not necessarily true. Looking back over the past year I have become a lot more relaxed around women, well the not so hot ones anyway! I used to be very awkward around most girls, and this is an ongoing process. It's not something you just one day solve, it takes work and a lot of patience.

Sorry Nova got myself confused there.
The intial nervousness on the first few opens will never go away.
But you can be rid of awkwardness its just gona take time and work.

Sometimes you can just tell there will be an awkward silence after the line you said or the one word answer you just received, sometimes when you just feel the conversation is going to fall at an awkward silence I'll say.... (she's just given her one word answer or confused look at what I said) and here comes the awkward silence part (I'll then sound out the last part of the countdown theme tune) if she laughs and nods you know she's agreeing there would have been awkward silence and you know your both on the same wavelength wich is a clear IOI, personally then I'd drop a little light hearted NEG afterwards in the hope it sparks more convo, however if there's an awkward silence after the countdown routine your not vibing on an attraction level so perhaps it would be time to bring the false time constraint you would have used earlia to GET THE FECK OUT OF THERE!

That's just an awkward silence 'filler' you could try using if your worried about the awkwardness
