After another night out of achieving nothing I've decided to write a diary of my journey.

This is long.... feel free to skip to the end, I need to write this!

So I find myself out with a friend on results night. We go vodka revs for a drink, its very quiet, so grab a table and talk about... u guessed it pick up (well I bang on about it for half an hour or so). I'm starting to do this every time I go out, I have all this information from reading all these great posts and no skills whatsoever to implement!

So we head across the street to Rev Cuba. Really nice new venue so we head to bar and get some tasty rum+coke. Anyway there's a bit of salsa going on (a few couples dancing), I've been doing beginners class for the last 4 weeks and I say to my mate its great you should try it. He says a girls giving me the eye, I don't really pay much attention to this, I give the excuse I won't dance as it would leave him propping up the bar, he says thanks. So we finish up and head off to find somewhere else.

Most bars are dead but one place Essence isn't - we head in get to the bar (theme going on here you might be picking up on) so its full of 18yr olds and we say to each we really should do something. Another round, hover near the dance floor and then decide to go back to Vodka Revs.

So we head there (its pretty busy now) get to the bar. hb8 black girl is right infront of me with a guy and girl, shes on her phone. Thoughts flash across my head, nothing comes out - i'm facing her...argghhh. My mate heads off for a piss and then out of the blue a hb5 comes up to me.

hb5: I need someone to kiss me for a bet. I get a free drink blah blah

I don't want this - I'm pretty sober (my intention is not to be drunk when out at the mo) and feel like everyyones watching. Anyway I fluff some convo and them my mate returns, then a girl turns up with a camera for promo. She takes a picture, my mates talking to her and then I'm like fuck this lets get rid of this hb5 so i 2 sec kiss her. BAD IDEA she's pretty wrecked goes off to get a drink off the girl she bet with and then is back - shittttt. Anyway hb5 wants a fag, I don't smoke unless I'm hammered but I persuade my mate to go out for one (not sure why?!) anyway bonus is she has a fit hb8.5 friend outside smoking. hb5 is pissed talking shit, hb8.5 talks and touches me, i stay frosty - I have nothing...wtf!

By this time my mate is wanting to do one so when hb8.5 disappears we leave, not before I take hb5 in and say i want to make sure you find ur friends! again wtf!!

Get back to mine, pint of water each and then my mate goes off home. I feel like I have unfinished business so head off out again. Walk out my door a hb7 with 2 guys, stops and says how much to get in there (i live on the main street where all the trashy bars are) Bit of banter but nothing much, looks like she's out with younger brother maybe, they are waiting to go 10ft away whilst we talk. we each say good luck with the 18yr olds - i could of done so much more here. I head off back up the street to Vodka Revs - feel more free now by myself. Get there massive queues. shit!

Head back to a bar a couple of doors down from where I live, pretty quiet inside, get a drink, a seated 4set, they see me, i want to go and say hi, i feel like it will be fine but I can't do it. Wander around a bit then back home.

FAIL.

My thoughts

I need to face facts. I've always been fairly shy and it isn't until tonight I've realised just how much.

I can't approach. In fact i'm wondering how many times I have actually approached in my 26yrs! I rely on girls approaching me - i'm the man this needs sorting.

Back to basics. I am reading too much PUA stuff. I can't be natural - not yet anyway, I need some lines and routines to get me started and nothing else.

I am weak willed. hb5 should have been told to do one.

Kino. I don't do it!

I want to do these things - salsa, see a girl say something immediately, and for a split second I am and then its gone. I see this as me underneath all my years of shyness but achieveable in the long run.

Day game. Maybe I will find this easier than Night game...

Actually, it doesn't work, this is lesson one, lesson two you've completed very well, nobody starts of well and if they did they are bullshitting or naturals and naturals couldn't explain PU if you gave them a pen and paper.

To be honest I read the ending of your post..

Going out to the field is 50% of the work you need to improve your game and succeed..

Posting your report too takes a measure of commitment.. There are 100s of people that read FRs and go out into the field.. Yet, how many actually post FRs? Very, very few..

I can see you improving if you keep going out and improving on your sticking points like being more interactive, etc..

Look forward to seeing more frs and more closes.. LOl.. Cheers and neverr quit!! It's a process and the rewards are there if you don't give up..

Have you tried getting books from amazon on making friends, socialising, etc?

The only way to overcome it is to keep approaching!

So was intending to fit in some day game but that didn't work out not to worry as I had a pub crawl for some friends birthdays!

So get to the pub at 5 and there are a good group of people there plus a few new faces - hb7.5 and hb8.5. I didn't actively try and game, just let the conversation flow and have a good time. hb8.5 has the same name as me so gets a bit confusing but also allows little glances at each other and smiles.

Three pubs down and we stop off at birthday boys for a bbq. More mingling and talk to hb8.5 a bit more.

Here one of my friends comes out with the line you can't pull you have the same names that would be wrong! - I don't react, just carry on talking, probably as I have drunk a fair bit by now.

So we move on and walk into the city. At the next pub a new guy turns up, I don't know him that well but very fun, full of energy and loud guy - like I seem myself becoming. He's interacting with everyone and really livening things up. I have a twinge of jealousy but think about and just join in the with fun, not getting needy around hb8.5, which in the past I certainly would of!

Its gets a bit of a blur now but we hit a few more bars - somewhere along I talk about salsa with hb8.5 we try out a little. Side note Salsa is awesome! you can mention it early on and then bring it out later. So I'm building comfort at lot and then my little sister comes out of nowhere with a guy thats interested in her. Shes quite innocent and doesn't really know how to get rid of him without hurting his feelings, so she joins her group. I'm just having a good time, we move on to another venue and walk straight in past a big queue as one of my friends knows the guy who runs the night.

In this venue i get dancing with hb8.5 and makeout - im doing a lot of push pull and really building the sexual tension. We go to one more place after this - must be 8 or 9 different venue. We leave at around 3ish and I make sure my sis is ok, borrow hb8.5 phone as my is on the blink and speak to her.

So the big group has split up now and we head back to our flat. Luckily as I live right in the middle of the centre this is a 2 min walk. A couple of the guys get some takeaway and me and hb8.5 are sitting in there more comfort building!

Head to my flat and some of my housemates are having a bit of a party. After a few minutes I just go over to her and take her hand and take her upstairs to the roof terrace. She says why are we going and I just say you r coming with me!. So first time now we have been alone, more make out and things are hotting up. A couple of times people come up and shes loving nearly getting caught. Next go straight to my room - and thats it!

My thoughts

Different venues really helped.

Obviously I was fairly hammered by the end of the night but all the things I have been reading are starting to hit home. I was confident enough to take her hand and be dominent a the end of the night. My flat mate who was there and saw me said that wasn't the kind of thing I do!

When the new guy came I was confident enough to carry on with the party even though everyone was loving his energy.

I think i'm starting to get a good mindset about woman. It was like my sister comes first. hb8.5 you wait!

No - i've been getting better at over the last year or so but most of the stuff i'm going through at the mo is body language and inner core stuff.Will do a bit of research on this!

I love the field report diary idea and am strongly considering starting on myself,to track my own progress and i imagine much later down the line personal amusement

Keep getting out there and make things happen... Had a great night but still won't be happy until I approach someone I don't know and get some results from it!
