Report #1 - First night out

As my first field report, I thought I'd start where I first used 'game' in any situation and actually got any kind of close.

So, it was a Thursday night, pretty boring, and I got invited to my local pub with a few friends from work. When I got there, there were two people sat outside. Now... I had met them twice before so I didn't really know them well at all. But, pickup is about being social right? One guy (gay) and one girl (target). They were pretty happy to be talking to me and I invited them both inside to join us after a short conversation. I focused more on the guy, leaving the girl to chase after the conversation. We were talking about school and work and she would pitch in every now and again and I'd respond with things like 'Sshh, the grown ups are talking!' or 'Do you always but in like this?'. Any negs were said in jest with a slight grin.

Eventually I had won over the guy (control the men, control the women). I had merged the two groups together and they were all chatting well. I would bring up a topic and include both groups (as what I believed was a Demonstration of Higher Value).

The girl gave me a playful punch in the arm and that's when I decided to give her some attention. Naturally I'm quite funny, I come out with a lot of sarcastic comments. So mixing humour with serious conversation, I could tell she was quite into me. Again, from how I remember it, I wasn't too try hard or outcome dependent...but it was working and I wanted to push!

When it came to home time, I said my goodbyes to my friends and got up to leave to which the guy says 'We'll come too, we need a tab'. So now there's three of us outside the bar and I'm still talking to the girl. The gay guy asked for a hug goodbye and decided to touch my arse when I said 'OK'. I turned to my target... I said 'Come here then' and put my hands out and brought her into me and for some reason I picked her up and put her legs around my waist (which made her laugh). I said I wanted a goodbye kiss, looking her dead in the eyes.

Me; I expect a goodbye kiss

Her; Oh my god really? Here?

Me; Yeah!

Her *laughs* But I'll look like such a slag!

Me; Probably *then just kissed her*

We said goodbyes, exchanged numbers and went. I went home feeling like a total boss! My first try and it went pretty smooth! Report Closed.

What do you think I did wrong? Obviously, I'm new. Basically, she's the kind of girl who kisses a lot of guys but is actually still a virgin. She won't sleep with me, so we just meet up now and again and I'm working on it. I need to build a level of comfort with her first. This gay guy is hilarious! He'll flirt with all of us now we're actually in the same social circle, nothing wrong with a hug, right?

I was trying out something I read in Mystery's book. Maybe I didn't do it spot on, I don't expect to be a pro from day one - that'd be stupid! I knew she got around and wasn't gonna be bought by a nice guy act (the act I'm so used to naturally playing) so I decided to try it. You've gotta test this stuff out or how will you know if it works?

As much as I think this is way too gamey and may or may not be bullshit, why would you say that. You sound a bit jealous.

Yeah, I kinda get that using 'routines' is gamey, but it's where I'm starting out. After all I believe you've gotta test stuff out for youself. I just happened to be the first chance I got and I went for it.

I did join her in conversation, I didn't really explain it well. Reading back, it sounds like I shut her down all the time! Which I didn't, it's not in my nature. She's a sought after girl in our social circle and she's kinda seen as 'mine' in a weird way. I don't want that, but my friend told me that's how they see us. I'm here to learn, not to defend every action and say 'fuck off' so thank you for this, I'll try that in future and work out my own congruent style. For a guy like me who's had very few girlfriends and experiences with girls, I considered this a win. Enjoy the small victories!

I'm trying to get her to come round, but she keeps saying she's not gonna 'put out'. Which I said I was cool with, because she probably doesn't want to feel like a slut. So once she's over I don't know if I should try or not. Thoughts?

She uses that term, yeah

If I say 'It's obvious you want to fuck me' won't that just put her off? She claims to not be one for relationships but refuses to go any further with a guy. I think, personally, she wants to BUT is simply scared because it'd be her first time.

I can't promise her a relationship because I myself don't want one. I want to play the field and actually become good with women in general
