I reckon men are quite good at lying too.
It's just a feeling, sometimes when you know someone very well and just through the conversations you have you can tell from what they're saying.
I'm not saying women might not lie during initial dating phases but then men do that too.

You're right that women have more options and could pick up any guy they wanted but they don't do it any more often than a good looking guy could. Women are more choosy. Unless it's Shazza wearing her high heels and miniskirt necking WD on the weekend.

Most of the time you can instinctively tell if somebody is lying, just most times you are blinded by the pussy to be honest with yourself when its a girl.

I think that explains the beginning phases of a relationship or dating but not so much when there are more emotions involved.

From an evolutionary pov women ARE hard wired with the ability to lie better. They need to maintain positions of 'strength' and insure the best chance of 'survival' through their ability to build 'social/community' alliances, you can't build alliances with parties that are at odds with each other without being able to lie well to BOTH/all.

In caveman times, Two alphas males need only to directly challenge one another make their intentions clear and direct and settle their disputes through displays of outward strength/combat...but any females of value caught in the middle, would need only LIE to both of them until the 'better' one has clubbed the other one to death.

Failure to lie would mean failure to survive for the female (as true today as it was centuries ago).
