Something I have found to help in getting a girl to agree on a date (this is usually via text/FB/phone call is to arrange to meet "for lunch" or "for a good chit chat" instead of being like "oh will you meet me"...

I think it probably makes the girl think its just a simple friendly interaction, rather than a pressured date which would send all thoughts of emotions and thoughts going wild in her head...

I also find that even with just friends, if you arrange a meet up and say things like "so we're going for our date on wednesday night" or something they usually like the fact they're being treated nicely..

Psychological term

Foot in the door effect -- ask for somthing small then follow it up with somthing bigger-- they are pressured to give you the bigger thing because they already did the small thing.

ask them out for a drink and a giggle or a coffee --- seems like less pressure of an actualy date

If they mention its a date i just tell them its a drink etc

Also applicable backwards, ask for something ridiculous and then ask for something reasonable.

yeah, this exactly! I don't use it as some form of creepy tactic to lure them out, cos in essence thats all it is, a drink and a chat. But it works!

I just tell them its a drink or a coffee and not a date because i dont want them getting their hopes up of happily ever after,
plus i can hit them with Shock and Awe when they see my awesomeness

But when actually meeting them, I playfully tell them its a date, which gives me a chance to demand my end of date kiss and stuff like that...
