Default Dealing with jealousy - 27-07-2011, 01:45 PM

Obviously this is probably not the best forum for this subject, but I'm asking anyways.

I've had previous issues with trust in relationships, both not being able to trust girls, and also breaking their trust.

I don't want to pickup some hot bird, end up in a relationship and then not be able to trust her, therefore making me jealous and a chode and lose her.

Has anyone had these issues before, and successfully got rid of them?

Hmmm,

With one of my exs, I hated it when she went out. I hated the thought of her chatting and flirting with other guys - I hated the thought of her going out and me not knowing what is happening. I hated the thought of her texting other guys.

These feelings would make me into a needy jealous chodey dickhead constantly texting her and ALWAYS WORRYING.

Then I got with my ex, turned quite cold and didn't really give a shit about anything.. But hence I wasn't that in to her, and it ended.

I don't wana get with a girl I really like, only for me to turn into that jealous dickhead.

I don't know why I have these trust issues. My first love cheated on me. But I cheated on her too.

My dad cheated on my mum when I was a kid.

I just want to be able to trust women, but every woman has broke my trust.

If it's definitely because of this:
I don't know why I have these trust issues. My first love cheated on me. But I cheated on her too.
My dad cheated on my mum when I was a kid.

see a shrink, someone that does CBT - might be worth a try.
How old are you if you don't mind me asking?
Secondly, build your self confidence, just because 1 person did something, doesn't mean another will. Trust them unless they give you reason to distrust them and then ditch them and go find another

I recently turned 21..

My worst fear (in relationships) is them cheating but me never finding out - probably stemming from the fact I've cheated before, and the girls never found out until I came clean anyways

Depends on your reasons for cheating.
You say girls so this is more of your personal issue rather than them in my non psychiatrist opinion. It's a personal fear because you know you can do it yourself. Trust is built between 2 people so if you're not ready to do that, then you're not ready for a relationship, and should just play the field.

AFFRIM THIS

I have mis-trusted women in the past and I have met some untrustworthy women in the past.

Women are extremely trustworthy.

I now trust women, I act trustworthily and expect to meet only trustworthy women.

Yeah I know what you mean..

I am playing the field,

I just don't want to eventually fall for someone when we're totally into each other, but fuck everything up from these issues
