Update: Probably owing to my mean skills on the piano, I've been gifted a second interview - next Wednesday (17th) at 2pm. Wish me luck boys, this is the final 8!

Update: Well what a day! Met a friendly and helpful train attendant person (for such a thing exists), smashed the interview, and cranked out a cheeky pull on the way home.

Update: Well that's that. After getting down to the final 4, I was on the receiving end of a "difficult decision" and it seems I will not be moving to Manchester after all. At least not in the near future.

On the plus side, I'm seeing the girl who I got talking to on the train next week so every cloud and all that...

Have you since looked for more jobs or tried any other big cities?

No the search has died off a bit. Initially I was just looking for any old job that would enable me to move to Manchester, and I suppose I could still do that. The thing is, after finding a job I would've loved, I can't justify looking for any old job in an office or some shit. It's spoiled me really, showing me what I could've had.

Move anyway, if you can afford to get set up there, you'll find a filler job within a week of living there if you apply yourself, will meet new new social circle and can focus on getting a better one in the meantime.

I was having a psychology based conversation about something similar to this recently about behaviour and the conclusion was along the lines of the best way to change behaviour and self improve is to change your surroundings and situation.

Put simply your more likely to find a job you love in Manchester if your living in Manchester and seeing as that is clearly what you want you should move.
