I can't believe anyone is against NMA. This is not supposed to be a life change. Its just for one month. Its just an experiment. If after a month you feel it was a bad idea, then go back to watching the news.
with experiments there are no failures, only outcomes. I'd rather be the guy who starved himself of knowledge (if you can call it that) for a month, and learned from that, than the guy who thought he knew the answer already and never tried.

I've been very disciplined.
I feel so secluded, I have barely any idea what is happening in Libya etc. I only hear the odd thing every few days ar I overhear people discussing the news.
I confess I intentionally cheated once to watch the Masters because I always watch it, other than that been clean as a whistle.
Was actually a bit antsy the first day or two for. Noticed the habits I have around it, automatically turning the TV on when making my morning coffee, flicking the radio on in the car...just automatically seeking stimulus or some kind of background noise all the time. Catching myself walking up to the telly to turn it on, just running on autopilot. Weird.
