The past few months I have been dating a new girl with it becoming more serious as we have moved along

Now for the cliche part - this girl is like any other I have been with. She is caring, patient, easy-going and very compatible with me sexually/chemically. Neither is she perfect, she can be stubborn and sometimes a little self-absorbed.

The scary part is we have decided to get married...

I know that some of you will think me crazy and that's ok but I wanted to take this opportunity thank this forum and the members on it for the help I have received that has transformed my career, social life and love life (I'd go as far as saying my own life) with their advice and experiences. 2 years ago I would never have ended up in such a strong and balanced relationship and have been so secure about myself. I started out just hoping to get laid more but discovered a lot more to life that validation from girls.

I'll still stick around and read the threads however I won't be participating in PU. Who knows I might be back here someday but I'm pretty certain I won't

I'm just curious as the to language you've used, and the time scale. You say we've decided to, as opposed to 'I've decided to marry her'.

How long have you known her? What's the rush. But if it's what you want to do then go for it, just so long as you don't feel like you should do it.

i dont pick up girls anymore, i have a GF. i just find sometimes when giving advice on here, it reminds me of stupid ways i have been thinking.

A few months blimey! I did that once with a girl, got engaged on New Years eve and we'd only been together 6 months......dumbest thing I ever did. But hey if it works for you! and you realistically feel you could spend 50 years of your life with this one women then fair enough.

If I believed in the concept of Marriage I would send you the customary congrats but I dont so all I can wish you is the best for yourself.

I agree with Phil you should participate here still because I've seen people (myself included) revert back to their old selves within 2 years!

A few months? eek that's quick. I'd hear alarm bells of 'still in honeymoon period'! I forget who said it but they (whoever they were) said it takes years to get to know someone and i'd agree however, i'm sure there's plenty of people out there who married quickly and are still happily married so all the best my man hope it works for you!

I don't really understand why anyone would want to get married, apart from I suppose... if you are having kids it creates a more potent bond, or if you wanted to keep a foreign chick in the country... something I may have to do one day with my Asian fetish.

I want to marry a girl, one day. I'm a bit old fashioned like that. Eventually, I want a girl that I've decided on, and then make it official.

I think men that are afraid or don't want to marry, simply have strong commitment issues. It's like saying, "Yeah I really like you, but let's not marry just in case something else comes my way..."
