I like Lucidfer's post. That first guy gives an absolutely classic example of a guy not having the balls to take the lead. Take the lead, do what you want to do and if she doesn't follow suit there's something wrong with her. Rib her for it. Tease and be playful. You're the bloke here, you decide what's appropriate and if she disagrees, she is wrong (within reason - I'm not saying go for a full arse-grab when you first meet her. More that if you want to go for a kiss on the cheek, fucking do it and stop being such a pansy).

On a general kino point of view, just treat her like she's a close mate or a girlfriend already. Put your arm around her, hold her hand, touch her on the small of the back. Just don't put all your eggs in the basket of her "responding". At the end of the day she's just another chick. Sometimes it'll go well, sometimes it'll go nowhere.

Escalation isn't just kino It means to escalate the situation too.

You could escalate touch to the extreme but you could still be very far away from the reason you spoke to her
