Went out in town the other week and ended up taking a girls number. To cut a log story short there was a some texting to and throw, humour and flirting etc and then it came to this.

Her: Glad you knew I was joking about being into heavy metal. Although I should mention that I do believe I am a princess and expect to be treated like one! X

Me: oooh really? Well I best nip out and pick you up a tiara then as I don't seem to remember you wearing one. I've treated lady's well in the past but only after they've damn well earned it first :-) x

I'm not bothered that she hasnt replied as I simply don't care about women in my life right now, I'm too busy working on my own head and issues at the moment.

I was initially pissed when I got her message as I thought "who the fuck are you to impose those standards when I don't even know you" so chose to communicate this in a friendly manor as possible and the response is nothing but a reflection of my true self and how I'd deliver something verbally to anyone else.

Just wondered whether this is something you'd interpret as an arsey response by me or even whether I misinterpreted her text?

I'd say you let her get to you. I should have prob been best to make light of her comments orbrush it off completely.

Yeah you're right Nova I did let the comment get to me. I can't be funked with women at the moment so wasn't interested in putting any effort in to get her. It's a learning point for the future tho....l should anyone demand they're treated like a princess

You really could have played more on all of this and turned it into a nice bit of flirting. She is effectively inviting you to 'treat her like a princess'. Hardly a bad thing.

The problem here is again PUA

everyone constantly told you have to reject anything that seems as tho a girl is trying to get the upper hand. sitting and anylising a comment, then structuring a response that seems a way to keep the power or upper hand. never letting her know u like her

PUA is a blessing for new guys & it becomes their curse.

I wonder if it is more to do with guys assuming girls have a 'stuck up' attitude when they are teasing or trying to push our buttons a bit. My housemate told me he was afraid our new fit housemate was stuck up. This it seemed was based purely on the fact she was fit. Mental.
