I cant quite work out this one. I'm more into day game as i dont like gaming on alcohol and to be honest just walking around a city during the day presents you with way more hotties than the average bar club, plus no music to contend with...........apart from the deaded iPod.
So far i have not been able to bring myself to open on a girl in a coffee shop with an iPod stuck into her ear. Seems like they might be on the defensive if you interrupt what they are listening to , plus he act of taking off the headphones could give her time to make a snap decision about you as you have had no time to fill in that gap.
Has anyone else done this successfully?

I've only done two day game approaches with MP3 players, so you might want to wait for someone with more experience of this particular situation. Both were direct, neither went any differently to how I usually do. With both I walked up besides her, tapped her arm, and motioned for her to take the earphones out. One went well, the other didn't. I think there's always an element of 'what does this guy want?' with day game, you're just slightly extending that time with MP3 players.

However, the best advice I can give is do it. Do 10 approaches with MP3 players, and 10 without, and see what happens.

Disclaimer: I've never actually tried this myself, just a suggestion which popped into my head just then. I feel your frustration though man, as much as I love my ipod it has alot to answer for in helping to create this socially insular world we now live in. Which is where we come in, the exception to the rule! The socially awesome guys who reject that insular world and jizz on its face!

Tap on her shoulder and just ask "what music you listening to?". Most often than not she would remover her earphone and said "pardon" and ask again "just curious, what music you listening to?"...I did this once in a the easynet internet cafe and ended chatting for ages...! If she's not interested, so what move on....! Easy peasy!
