Default Mixed Sets - 04-09-2009, 01:27 PM

Hi Guys,

Lately I seem to be limiting the interactions I could potentially have by being a little aprehensive about opening Mixed Sets (Guys/Girls). I know by watching the Jeffy Show, and reading other stuff that, 80% of the time, the guys are not the boyfriends.

Do I

a) Approach the whole group friendly way, then game the one I like? (bearing in mind there are guys in the set)
b) Just ignore the guys and start talking to the girl - kino, escalate etc

I don't want to start any fights - however not approaching these groups seems to be cutting down my options quite a bit.

So like help!!!!!

I think this sort of dilemma is best handles using Mystery Method. With this in mind, I'd recommend opening the whole group and making friends with the guys first, whilst mostly ignoring and negging the target. This way you'll not only get peer approval and be accepted into the group (thereby raising your value) but also, through some light negging and ignoring of the target, lower her value and get her clamouring for attention.
This way, when (after 5 or 10 minutes engaging the group) you say "do you mind if I borrow your friend [the target] for a while? I've kinda been ignoring her", they're more likely to approve and allow you to isolate her...and obviously here you can escalate easily.

I think the key is befriending the guys, especially the AMOG. If you do that, the girls will warm to you very easily.

Hope this helps

I deffo agree that you need to generally portray value by having a great time and being social.
Don't entertain them, let them entertain you and I wouldn't show her more attention than you show the others. She will find your raw social confidence and high value incredibly attractive then Wham, drag her into the bogs and shove it into her arse.

Or something like that...

Test the waters man! Use all of the above methods and more. Do what you feel may work, unplanned! See what works for you. Like K says the models may not work as there are always unforseen circumstances - but then again they might! Just trial, error and improvement man!

I got 99 problems but a bitch aint 1

Bloody hell K, not a fan of negging then!

Seriously though, you've changed my perspective on it here. I can see where you're coming from, I guess any guy who has to point out people's flaws is going to be of low value so that's never a good thing.
To be honest though I look at negging from more of a C+F perspective anyway - I can't remember where I read it but it's said that negging should be funny for everyone (otherwise, it said, it's not a neg - it's an insult), a bit light hearted, a bit of banter (god I hate that word).
I don't know about you, but I always feel if I can have this "banter" aspect with a person (whether girl or guy) it feels like we have more of a rapport, which is never a bad thing.
I'm going to start a thread for negs for all the beginners like me. I think it'd be useful to have some canned light hearted negs for us newbies to use. Maybe some debate on whether or not negs are a good thing.

As for the whole ignoring the target thing goes, it's probably me being a bit naive. Let's be honest, as an aspiring beginner I'm fairly reliant upon MM - hopefully with time I'll learn to adopt your kind of approach and will become more of a natural.
