Blanca, you've got that the wrong way round.
IF 'God' existed then yes, there would be a theory of everything. One that's been around for thousands of years...God. That's what God is, a theory, an attempt at making everything containable and understandable while inducing fear into those who (at the time) did not understand the concept of science to maintain law, order and hope in society.
The very fact that physicists have to create AN ENTIRE NEW DIMENSION everytime they discover a particle, or something unexplained would lead me to believe a theory, or formula, would now have to contain the near, and likely infinite variations for the laws of physics in all known dimensions. The current estimated number of dimensions is 13 at my last physics lesson, and 99.99% of us can only get our puny brains around the concept of 4 (including Time).
Research some quantum physics, that will fuck with you. You will not understand it (no one does, that's why it was invented - an explanation of the unexplained accepted by the scientific community because no one else can explain it either) and then try and get your head round (in theory) the potentially horrendous formula that would contain every aspect of everything, ever, with the link to explain how it all becomes relevant to one another.
So now, ask yourself (and this is VERY hypothetical) if, just if, we had such a formula, it would quite possibly be infinite in length, and incomprehensible by everyone. So why would anyone want to put themselves through that kind of hell, when they'd never get their head around it anyway?
For those who don't agree, I'll give you the closest thing we have to a formula of everything. The most famous formula of all time (for said reason):
E-MC2
