but this woman had created her own religion. An idea that wishes can come true by praying

no wonder its so popular, those without a god now have a god to cling to. people love the idea of receiving without work

its a load of shit, within positive thought needs action for things to happen.

no i have heard loads of people go on about it.

it is bewildering how every person who reads it swears by it, yet still find time to comment about current affairs of the jeremy kyle show.

I thought I'd find a thread similar to this. Today I downloaded and started to watch the DVD

The secret = bullshit

It's this kind of thing that's just people making money out of others unhappiness, same as all self-help companies be it PUA, weight-loss, money-making, etc.

EDIT: I also bought a new pair of cordless hair clippers for some travelling trips that are coming up so today wasn't a complete loss...

I think all this self help need for improvment really boils down to people are lost, feel lost
way back when everyone was mad on religion and saw it as a source of comfort and motivation and a guide to living their lives -- now with prevailing western logical mentality we all feel lost and alone in the world/universe so people look for the answers , for the meaning of life, happiness just to stop feeling so alone

and that is why books like that are mega best sellers because they preach the answer to loneliness.

the true answer will be revealed when science with quantum physics, religion god, chi, reincarnation all combine with some supreme genius developing the Theory of everything
which is just a matter of time and its all based around energy because thats what EVERYTHING in the universe boils down to

people are unhappy because they don't feel they have purpose, or are chasing things they don't really need. Gotta fix yourself so that you go after what you need, rather than what you want. Then your immediate world around you will begin to bend to your will, and everything you need will come to you. Women will be attracted. You'll meet someone that you could be in a relationship with. You'll find love. You won't need game or a player mentality anymore. Then you'll be happy.

I personally c that book more as something to motivate u in achieving your goals but I believe nothing is for free and u have to work hard for whatever u want. I was recommended this book by my friend n me being lazy I decided to get myself a movie n audio book. So after spending the time on it I decided to use it as a conversional material with women who actually believe in iT n play along .... Worked out in getting them back to my or their place..After all the secret works in the way u like really n for me it got me some pleasure n thats all thanks to THE SECRET :))))))
