Most illegal drugs are nowhere near as harmful to your health as tobacco or alcohol (fact), but because most of them are stimulants, as opposed to a depressant, (like alcohol) (again, fact), they are made illegal because our governments and the corporations that run them (conspiracy) are fearful that in using said drugs, we will all figure out that they are shitting on us from a very great height, and thus will demand change instead of just wiping the shit off and carrying on being their depressed-as-fuck slaves (conspiracy).

If alcohol and tobacco were introduced today as brand new substances, they would go straight to Class A drugs - they are both highly addictive, highly destructive to your health, and claim many millions of lives per year.

Nobody disagrees in what you're saying, I'd be the first to agree that cigs and alcohol are just as bad if not worse, what I am trying to point out (if its not blindingly fucking obvious) is that weed isn't the healthy risk free full of benefits drug that Mr K peddles it as.

Crossing the road isn't risk-free. But I cross many roads on my way to work because the money I earn there is just one of the many benefits that far outweighs the risks.

K never said it was risk-free. Just that the benefits far outweigh the risks - especially true considering how much more harmful (and less beneficial) tobacco and alcohol are in comparison.

Not really and I'm not a hypocrite either, my ethics are probably questionable and I am guilty of bringing practices unwelcome on this site despite it being a PU site but I welcome the debate, you are at least participating. Everyone is entitled to a view you have yours, I have mine, neither us is right or wrong, just different. I have smoked weed in the past and some would see this as hypocritical but I would argue it gives be me a far better understanding of both sides of the coin.

This video is somewhat biased, it's mostly correct but not totally, I'd be interested to find out where they acquired their "statistics".
Now as it happens, despite my personal issues with cannabis, I am pro legalisation. The problem is when it's taken daily as I have done for so long.
Hemp is not illegal over here, but it is not used anywhere near enough, the price of hemp seeds (for consumption) is astronomical, about 5 times as much as hemp supplied as fishing bait. I guess that point highlights one of the gross contradictions in our society, we are told to eat healthily, however this is expensive, it's much cheaper to eat crap. I wonder why there is such a problem with obesity in this nation...

canabis isnt bad for you in its original form

all these new cross strains are essentially doing to cannabis what Heroin Done to Opium..

cannabis & its science is making it a VERY dangerous drug from the perspective of psychological issues.
