Hmmm ill agree to disagree on that one. If no one can percieve that something is fake then its real in their mind. Being able to change and adapt to situations is part of a personaility. For example an actor can be a tough hard guy or the complete oposite, doesnt mean to say he is fake.

an actor is an actor -- i dont want to be around somone that is an actor i want to be around somone that is themselves and doesnt need to portray themselves as this or that to get what they want.

Me to reflex, im not into all that shit either. What im trying to communicate is that being able to adapt and change your charecteristics to best suit a situation can help you greatly in life. This doesnt mean you are fake, as being able to change and adapt to a situation is part of your personality. The idea is to understand peoples perception of you and change it to best suit an outcome that benefits yourself. I know what your thinking though, your thinking of a chode trying to act like a cool guy.....this isnt what i mean.

For example there are times where you need to dominate a situation and times where you should not. Being able to judge when its best to do either is the skill im trying to say is useful.

Have you ever seen a TV show doen by the BBC called HUSTLE????? this is a good example of how people change there charecteristics to best suit a situation.
