I've recently started sarging again, and I went out on my birthday and had quite a few drinks but felt quite relaxed in the sets. However, I tried sober sarging in a full on noisy club one night this week and felt completely out of state with horrendous Approach Anxiety. Neil Strauss says drinking is a big no no. What does everyone else think?

Drink if you want to drink. Don't drink if you don't want to drink.

Go out and enjoy yourself, if not drinking isn't congruent with how you enjoy yourself then drink and have fun.

Just don't use it as a crutch like so many people do. You should be capable of approaching someone without ridiculous anxiety issues drinking or not drinking. If not drinking makes your night less enjoyable to you though you're not going to be in the best state of mind are you? You want to be at your best.

Well if you went out and didnt drink,and the sole for not doing so is to take advantage off pissed girls because they would be more notably drunk to you as a sober person, then no because that is creepy as fuck.

If you prefer drinking though then get pissed like everyone else.

I never drank much as my dad was and is is an alcoholic, so quite young I thought "fuck that", it's not happening to me. I've loosened up on it a bit as I've gotten older, but am still not really interested in getting hammered. I certainly don't think about it from a game point of view, if I fancy a drink I will, if I don't I don't.
