Anyway, going back to the main topic. I have got some really good things out the pick-up community, such as self improvement. I'm now in control of my drinking, doing meditation, NLP etc... maybe I would have come to all that without
PUA but whatever, that's how I came to it.
I think the people that get most pissed off with it are the people that expect too much out of it. I feel that to a certain degree a lot of it really does work, but the industry exagerate their claims for obvious reasons. This could cost them in the long term.
I'm a firm believer that people should not punch too much above their own weight. I mean this as a general guidline and not a self limiting belief. It stands to reason that if you are a 5 and you are constantly hitting on 10s you are going to have a very fucking rough time of it. Watch the movie Shallow Hal with Jack Black for a very funny, but also interesting take on this.
But at the end of the day, I also firmly believe, that pretty much anybody, not matter what, can do things to improve their situation.
