Hi guys,

I'm going to London today for an interview, but I've booked a late(ish) train home, kind of intentionally so it forces me to do some game. Does anyone have any advice/ experience for PU in a rail station? I can see the area in front of the departure screen being quite a good area to talk to girls.

Any thoughts on this location?

Sounds fine to me. I have gamed girls on the train a few times, although I never really set out with the intention of gaming (one of them was actually a train to London too).

Public transport creates these situations if you take them, as people have not a lot better to do than listen to music, read, or of course chat to strangers. Game away and report back!

Very good point Nova, wasn't thinking of the train journey there and back again, so I guess it's going to come in 3 parts (outward bound, rail station and return). Only thing with the train is that I will be stuck on there for 2 hrs, so if I did game and it back fires then I'm stuck in a very awkward situation for what would feel like a lifetime!

Yeah but your too awesome to be phased by her negative response.. if it "backfires" just think, you're confident enough to have a chat with someone on a train, and she's too boring to even deserve your company.

You can always switch carriages if need be as well..

Don't even bother trying to "intercept" people in a station. Go for those waiting at platforms. You're likely to get a lot of brush offs otherwise because many people have strict changeover times or want to avoid getting locked into a conversation that may make them miss their train.

Other than that, go for it and have fun. People on trains are usually more than happy to talk too, it breaks up the monotony of sitting around and waiting.

Looking around on the platform i saw a bunch of AFC's but saw a girl sitting down a with her fluffy hood up. I wasn't able to tell if she was worth my time or not so I walk round the front of her and caught a glimpse of her jaw structure and continued walking down the platform. I then stood behind her for waiting for the train. When the train did arrive (10 mins later) I approached her from the side asking 'excuse me, do you know if this is the train to London'. She said yes and I replied 'well you seem to know what you're talking about', she giggled and followed her on.*

I sat down first then she opted to sit in front of me. Reminisant of the station, I picked myself up 5 mins later and put myself in the isle seat opposite her (this also meant I wouldn't be approaching from the behind). She had a note book out and was spending a lot of time thinking about the next word she was going to write as her pen was frozen in her hand. 'that's going to be an important word when you write it.' She giggled and explained she was making a writing plan for her dissertation and she was proper easy to chat to. *she would be getting off in 1 hr as she took a call from her dad. Not having a escape clause in place like 'i'm meeting friends in 10 mins' I stuck with it though the full hour as we spoke about uni and the last year. I eventually asked for her number as the train pulled in which seemed to suprise her as I asked 'is it cheeky of me to take your number?' as I passed her my phone. She gave me a quizical look and seemed reluctant 'yeah, I don't often give my number out on the train to random guys but you don't seem like too much of a psych'. I didnt really know how to take the comment.

*With that I wished her well and I would text her. As soon as she left I text her saying '*If they ask me in the interview, what do people tend to think of you, i'll reply 'I don't seem to much of a psych'.'*

Don't quite know how to take this encounter. We spoke for 1 hour about everything from parents, music, dissertations and uni vs job life. I did notice a huge lack of flirting though! I did note that she was writing her dissertation on historic naked pictures and made the comment 'you writing about that because you like looked at nudes' which she laughed at and sarcastically said 'yeah, that's exactly the reason'. As far as I could tell, no IOI's nor did I attempt any cold reading or magic.*

Thoughts of this encounter???*

So interview next then some station game followed by the return journey.*

Also I got her name, but she dint ask for mine nor did she take my number. Concerned about her not asking for my name as this would have been an IOI.

Was she on one of those table double seat things, could you have sat opposite her facing?-- i would ahve moved there after 10 mins, if not i would have done it from where you were - initial some stupid games to get the kino going -- Thumb Wars, Mind Reading, palm reading
yes i know all little gay games but it gets the contact going and i always turn all that stuff on its head by saying ' well i just really wanted to touch your hands'

another note-- why did you go for her number anyway knowing you felt no IOIs?--what is your intention with this interaction?

If i didnt get any IOIs id probably say to her 'well im bored now im having a sleep'
