Default peacocking - 12-03-2011, 06:48 PM

Sup Sup!

i've been thinking about this for a little while but can never really think of wearing something that is "Peacocking" but still fits in with my style. When im out (night game), i usually go for the smart casual look leaning more towards the smart side.

What do you guys use to peacock (if at all)?

Peace
Y45

peacocking thats soooooooo 2005

na but being serious if you wanna wear it do it, don't do it just to gain attention and if your not comfortable wearing it it will show.

probably the only times i would go as far as some of the mystery mongs level of peacocking are
1.self amusement (probably involving drugs)
2.stag night,halloween etc
3.someone bets me i wouldn't...........challenge accepted!!

Anything that gives a girl justified reason to open YOU is a good peacock.

Used to have a wicked t-shirt i got on holiday that said 'red bull' on it in Thai.
Id be rich if I had a pound for everyone that asked ''what does that say?''

I find that my natural style is very peacock-y anyway.

I have a LOT of hats (trilby's, bowlers, top hats, everything), I wear nail vanish, wear way too much jewellery, occasionally draw on tattoos with tattoo pens and generally have quite a unique style. I find it does draw attention to me a lot, but it's because I'm comfortable with how I look and it works for the kind of circles I hang in.

End of the day, only do whatever your comfortable in else it will show

If you're going to peacock I would suggest keeping it subtle and socially acceptable. A girl doesn't want to go out with a guy who everyone laughs at so make sure you don't take it to clown level. An interesting pendant or t-shirt could get a girl opening you and is always a good conversational starter. In my opinion peacocking doesn't raise attraction but it certainly can get your foot in the door.

From what I've seen interesting/different hairstyling can be more than enough for peacocking. Alternatively if you're into that kind of thing then tattoos also do the same job, something that can't be entirely seen without moving some clothing seems to work best, chest or a half sleeve.

I'll just stress that tattoos shouldn't be taken lightly and (in my opinion) should have some sort of personal meaning for you, it makes for a better story when you're asked anyway. Don't get something naf and make sure you see multiple tattooists before getting anything done, build trust with them first and even sit in and see what kind of work they do. Do NOT get it done by some idiot in a kitchen on the cheap.

Just choose something and wear it!

You (not us) define whether it's cool or not by your behaviour - how you wear it and how you react with it on during your night out!

e.g. go out and buy some crazy hat. Cowboy hat, top hat, whatever....
Or, buy a few of the same hats so that your mate(s) can be in on it too.

You should develop solid game without needing the props... but as a way of having a laugh and adding something uniquely different then I don't see why not. Just move towards being able to pull without always needing the props, so that sucessful pulling is rooted as a function of your core personality and approach.

Since peacocking items are used as a conversation starter than just have something that reflects your personality. Is there a sport you do? If not you must have a favourite film. Any interest or hobby you have you can find a t-shirt or something that reflects it.

Peace,

kowalski
I propose a Saint Rebus Day! It could be like Saint Patricks, but instead of wearing green, everyone must peacock to the hilt and just approach EVERYTHING in sight all day long.

Oh, and totally agree with St Rebus about the hats - worked a treat for us in Bristol!!

Much love,

Craigus
