I've taken peacocking to new heights. Be it dressing like you've made less than no effort, PEACOCKING, having no tattoos or peircings, PEACOCKING, having chewing gum stuck on ur ass cos u sat down outside whilst pissed (And not giving a shit), PEACOCKING. Carry yourself like your wearing your favourite special pulling socks even when youre not and that magic feather called PEACOCKING will always be in the imaginary hat that ur not bothering to wear.

Oh, and totally agree with St Rebus about the hats - worked a treat for us in Bristol!!

Much love,

Craigus
Another vote from me You should have seen the hats last Friday in O'neills, classic

Now back to the thread, I am not much of a fan of peacocking, but one or two items that match your style and get a bit of attention are always welcome

I once went out for a fancy dress night dressed as a bin (theme was the letter b). Literally bought a large kitchen bin cut the bottom out and wore it with lid fitted to sit on my shoulders, was uncomfortable as fuck but had random people come up talk to me all night, was insane, was the ultimate opener.

On fancy dress... Big lovable fluffy teddy characters go down very well. Best instance of this I had was halloween once in a big furry Tigger costume, couldn't get away from people approaching, hugging, etc. I can see it failing pretty badly if you can't carry yourself in something like that, or take the inevitable "wtf are you wearing that on halloween for?" questions from guys.

They're only jealous because they haven't got the balls to handle looking like a tit in front of complete strangers. I went on a stag do recently where we all dressed as Alan Partridge. Two of the guys were sh*t scared of taking part and sat there all day looking embarassed to be with us. Guess who had the better time?

Yup, this is too true. If you show absolutely no fear for looking in that way and just enjoy yourself people really respect it, it shows a tonne of confidence to be able to dress up and own it.

I can't stand people who turn up to anything fancy dress and pretend they didn't know, I've known people to not get changed until getting to a fancy dress do too, just in case other people aren't wearing costumes.... It really is ridiculous.

I’m a fan of the smoking pipe and pocket watch when I go out, don’t take them on every night but when I do they get a good reaction from males and females.. I guess the guys don’t feel threatened by a bloke with a pipe.

What do you guys use to peacock (if at all)?

I always 'peacocked' even before I heard there was name for the term. Not for any reason other than I like wearing flash shit

I think some guys prefer to be smart casual, and to kinda dress in a 'non commital' way so that girls can project their 'ideal man' onto them...This actually seems to work really well for some of my mates.

Sometimes you wanna 'Peacock' in order to attract one type of gal and reject/put of other types kinda thing. Dressing outgoing and loud will attract loud/party girls and probably be more likely to scare off the shy retiring wall flower types? If that's what you want it's prob a good idea.

Having said that I've occasionally seen a bunch of smart casual geeks with negative body language all sporting like diamond studded cowboy hats or something completly random...and I've just known that they are really really badly trying to run game and have ending up looking like a bunch of fucking social retards.

Don't wear anything you aren't comfortable wearing and be comfortable in whatever you chose to wear imo.

kowalski, you anointed me to Saint in http://www.puaforum.co.uk/38780-post38.html

Then I changed my sig. and launched a religion thread at http://www.puaforum.co.uk/off-topic/...nd-tricks.html
