Solo Sarge

Guys solo sarging is so different from going out with mates, I'd say its the only way to test who you really are and what you really want and are capable of. I went out just now in a stinkin mood, so bad that I didnt even want to talk to people. Forced myself to open sets and before long was adopted by a couple of very cool girls and their social group. didnt really have energy for dancing or gaming but had a good first solo night. Totally going to start doing it regularly and also cutting out chain smoking and drinking. Its the test, give it a try.

I've only ever solo'd. sure its hard when you start no moral support. but what you will find as your ability and confidence grows you become you're own moral supposrt.

drinking and smoking. well smoking I quit a long time ago, glad I got rid of that fucker, makes me sick now to think about how much money I wasted and who knows what risks I'll face in the future because of it. So NHS quit line mate

Drinking and sarging I could write a book about my experience and mindset. In short i got drunk then talked to girls, once you start to being able to talk to girls without getting drunk you've won. Is it easy, sadly it's not. but its cheaper. I go out sarging 4 times a week I buy mineral water or coke and discounting entrance fees, I spend in one week what I used to spend in one night.

Respect to you going out solo keep doing it

I usually sarge solo and hardly ever drink while doing it. It was too easy to be the guy at the bar with a beer, draining pint after pint and not opening anyone. Found it quickly sapped the confidence.

Smoking is a different matter. I never smoke except when sarging, when I'll buy a 10-pack that will last me a weekend. Fortunately i've never wound up addicted to it. I'd like to get to a point where I don't need them, but for now I rely a bit too heavily on the 'have you guys got a lighter' opener.

And yep well done Max for going solo, quality first effort... keep up the good work.

Good job dude. First few times I did it were so nerve racking it was unreal, get past that you can get past anything!

If you're gonna have a drink, I recommend coke for the sugar (it keeps me from getting hungry, but not red bull as it makes me too tense). Or let one of the group get a shot for you

Also, bonus is you can drive into town if you don't live there!

As for smoking, I go to the smoking area for a change of scenery and because its sometimes a bit noisy inside and I wanna talk and open with "Hi".

I often ask at the bar for 2 glasses of tap water, then point out to everyone that this barmaid has been giving me free drinks all night

If I'm feeling self-conscious about flying solo I will get a tap water and a red bull so it can be construed that I'm buying one for someone else. I also sometimes use the 2-drinks thing when I want a break... sit at a table with the second one opposite me at an empty seat, looks like I'm waiting for someone to come back.

On very rare occasions I have had women approach the table and sat down in the empty seat to "steal" me from the unseen (and non-existent) competition!

On very rare occasion, I wonder why this is.

Don't sit at table by yourself, unless you've arranged to meet a HB at the bar, seriously just don't do it.
