Default Places to meet women? And am I being paranoid? - 06-09-2010, 09:15 PM

I believe its better to meet girls in rl rather through the internet as its more convenient and there is no distance problems. I have tryed that option and had a few bad relationships.

So I was just thinking of places to meet women besides the internet, but going to pubs and bars are not my thing and I do not really enjoy approaching women on the streets and trying to start a conversation with them. It does not feel natural to me (but maybe thats because of bad social conditioning). I do not live in a big city like London and they seem to be busy or going somewhere.

Bars and Clubs are said to be the some of worst places to meet women; apprantly women mainly go there to just have fun with their mates and not for the primary purpose of sex.

So I thought maybe good a way to meet women is by participating in activities that are popular women and more popular with women than men. Yet I fear that by doing such activity I would be acting gay or feminine, even though a few men do them and they were invented and developed by men originally.

I was thinking of going to a Dance class or a Yoga class or suchlike for the sole purpose of meeting women. Should I give it a try? Do you think people may think I'm gay or weird if I did? Would it be worth trying?

I am just wondering if I am being paranoid or too judging of people.

A bar or club ca be a good place but obviously not if you dont feel comfortable.
I have managed to get numbers from girls ive met at martial arts training. Theres plenty of girls that do that and its a "manly" thing to do.

Interesting, I would suspect that many who do the Martial Arts are Alpha men.

Not at all. Im not an alpha. Theres a lot of people who go to improve self confidence, balance, fitness and control. You dont go to beat the crap out of people lol.
Its worth looking at, or that type of activity anyway

You say that girls go out to have fun, not hav sex, which is true, but are you looking for a girl who is out to find sex? If so, you're probably less likely to find this sort of girl at a yoga class.

If you persist with the pubs and clubsi and I mean really persist, then the anxieties will fade and you will achieve success.

Girls hardly ever go out to have sex as their purpose. Having sex is hardwired into all of us...it's part of being an animal. So you can find and pull girls anywhere.

This. Don't waste your time joining dance classes just to give yourself the option to meet 3 or 4 reasonable looking girls.

The idea is to be so comfortable with who you are that approaching women become second nature what ever the environment.

Yeah at first its going to be hard, it’ll be awkward and youll feel like a cunt, but ask your self why you would join a forum such as this, you believe you life would be healthier if you had an abundance of women? Because that’s how I feel, and although im still journeying through world of pickup my state of happiness is increasing and its not just about getting laid, its about excepting life and enjoying every minute.

The way I see it is if you can approach a woman in a loud bar in front of her friends then you can approach a woman anywhere. Like most things in life, you get better the more you practice.

No one can promise that your life will be better if you mastered pick up but don’t look back in later years and wonder how much happier you could have been.

Aim high, achieve great things
