This is something I have been pondering over for a while. I know when I'm at the gym I dont want to be disturbed from my training, same for most people including girls I imagine.

I have however noticed that with the people who do the classes there seems to be more of a community spirit where they chat before and after. This would probably be the best place to sarge in my opinion. If it doesn't work out at least your getting some exercise. Fit body, Fit mind!!

I don't think that would work Phil. Especially considering at the gym I've signed up to. They have at least 8 of each machine. The girl would look at me, then around at all the empty machines and then back at me with a "What the fuck? Fuck of you blind perv..."

Pop to the machine next to her and strike up a conversation, people like to talk once they start. It's just AA stopping you. (I think)

Most likely. THAT and i like getting on the machines behind the ladies. Get a lovely view and I get a better work out. Haha, yeah am a perv...

I have had mixed success in my gym, have got a few numbers, but a lot of the time its hard to get anything really going because I guess the girls are there to workout when in the actual gym. The bar / lounge area is a far better place to get chatting, and there is obvious common ground to start a conversation which I have found has helped in the past.

Agreed. I notice that too in my gym. I dont know other gyms but most of the classes in my gym are frequented by the girls. Hardly any men. BUT I hate classes. I wouldnt want to do something I hate just so I can be amongst women to pick them up...! But if you like classes, then these can be a minefield.

I think you overestimate the dedication of a lot of girls workouts! Most girls haven't got a clue what there doing there and are just there because Cosmo suggested it!

Granted though 'Who lies more boys or girls' may not work when she's on the treadmill haha! Also I'm more inclined to the girls who do workout proper, so do see your point!

Just get into the habit of saying hi to everyone (like the Instructors do) and then it is very easy to get into conversation when you the opportunity is a knocking!
